Iowa@Gophers

Post by RubeTube »

I can't believe how fast this season blew by. 2017-18 season, I hardly knew ya. I remember watching them take apart Providence and thought, Sweet 16! Welp...

This is our last shot at a win. I'm hoping for a loss as I want Pitino fired. Think of this Gopher Froobs...

We have won 1 game since the Lynch suspension! You can't tell me we couldn't have done a bit more. It took us a miracle @ Penn st to even get that done smh.

I have a feeling they win this one against a BAD Iowa team.

If the Gophers blow this lead then changes must be made. This game is already won.

I can't stand McBrayer. Shoots non stop and isn't very good.

Glad to see Konate get a bucket. Getting a lot of rebounds too. I wont forget you Bakari! Class act!

If anything, that was a nice send off for Nate Mason. I'd love to see them somehow make a little mini run next week in the big ten tourney... seems so weird it starts already in 6 days. Hate that it's in NY.

Honest question.. what's Iowa's excuse? Minnesota lost three of it's top six players and then McBrayer was in a walking boot the whole season.

They don't have a true point guard. Bohannon is a great player but should be a 2 guard. Fran's son Conner was supposed to play PG but he got mono and then got hurt and they shut him down. Fran has had a problem getting a PG in the last few classes. That's really hurting them because they need someone quick who can pass the ball, and Bohannon is more of a shooter even though he can pass.

Another reason is Fran has used so many lineups it's maddening. They never can seem to put together a cohesive rotation that consistently play well. They also play terrible team defense. Those are coaching issue but there are times the kids don't listen either.

Fran is a good coach I think but he and his staff have to get some blame. Still they should be an NIT team worst case scenario. This was one of the worst seasons ever in Iowa basketball history.

I like Fran but if he misses the NCAA's next year Iowa needs to be looking for a new coach. Their AD already should have been canned after the sexual discrimination lawsuit.
