Lebron, the Lakers, and the Clippers voting to boycott the season is a powerful GD message. Whatever they decide, I 100% am on board. No other league would do this.

One thing I do worry about here is whether or not the NBA stars that are "leading" this actually do speak for the majority of players, because the key point left out is that no other teams did "vote" for that. There's 30 teams in the league that all matter equally, and 28 teams made a statement to not do something...that should be the headline.

I respect Lebron for trying here and for his actions on a multitude of previous issues, but he's going to be a billionaire eventually with all the stuff he is involved in outside of basketball. He can afford to take time off, and he can afford to take next year off as well if the owners want to lockout.
Most players need to work though, and can't afford to take time off, and their voice counts just the same even though nobody is putting a microphone in their face.

I hope the player's union is properly doing their job here and not just being a puppet for the stars.

I think this is an important take.

It says a lot when LeBron and company playing for the likely two top title contenders want to end the season. Giving up a great chance at a Championship. Thats tough to do.

But what about Talen Horton-Tucker, a minimum salary rookie who might be working the loading docks without basketball? Or guys like him?
