I wonder if Daddy Big Balls is going to start making noise again now that Magic Johnson's henchmen aren't around to threaten him.

Weak draft, but he seems like a good playmaker for a wing, some poor man's Paul George potential.

For me he just passes the eyeball test.
Stat wise, he got outplayed by Hunter in the championship game, but Culver looks like a player.
I think he's going to be a better pro than Hunter.

He was compared to Caris Levert in a video I just watched.

I wouldn't say he's the 4th best but he fits what I'm looking for here and has more "Star" potential than some of the others.

No thanks if I am NO. They showed their hand already. You need to give me Kuzma in that package and I do it right away.

LA isn't going to pass on AD over not giving up Kuzma.

Zion
Kuzma
Ingram
#4

Is a nice core.

I try to flip Ball for a extra top 10 pick.
Would ya give 11 for Ball?
In a heartbeat. Why would LA if they don't need to give him up for Davis?

Ricky Rubio is a FA. Does the same things Ball does (defense, passing) and doesn't do the same things Ball doesn't (shooting).

Just saying.

ball's career FTing is pitiful - 44% compared to rubio's 84%. their 3PT career %s are the same. ball, however, has shown a better ability to finish at the rim than ricky - and we always smacked our heads in frustration over rubio's inability to do that. that opens things up a lot more for other players when that's a threat. ball's a career 45% shooter of 2s - rubio a career 41%. remember how we said how much better rubio would be if ONLY he could raise his shooting % to the mid 40s? and, like rubio, ball is a helluva distributor and defender. i'm not totally sold on the idea of 11 for ball, but we could do worse.

Probably would give 11 for Ball think you could get a 2nd back.
Yes he is hated. Yes he needs to get better as a shooter, but yes he is a magical distributor.
So he's Ricky but no one likes him......not sure why I'd want that on my team when the original/better couldn't get it done here. Further, it's not as if we've added a ton of shooting to make up for his garbage shot. Even further, I'd be embarrassed to root for the same team Lavar Ball does. Hard pass, pun intended.

You are making me sad. Get back in the draft threads. Ignore the nonsense. Actually, read all the nonsense. Then realize that's what trading 11 for Ball is. Take a breath and remember we currently have a PG way better than Ball. He replaced a PG better than Ball. And our current 4 is Gorgs and he has no backup.

Deep breath.......................

I can't figure out the second part of your sentence.

I'd rather have Ricky than Ball though. Ball is an atrocious shooter. He shoots 43% at the line and barely tries to get there because he sucks so hard.

Ricky is a really good FT shooter and always tries to draw fouls. His set 3 pointer is respectable also...it's those wrong foot, one footer fade aways that always drove me nuts. That and his lack of a floater. Shit, I'm talking myself into a return.

I wonder how many froobs who always say “country club” want Rubio back.

He’s not a Rosas-type guy, imo.

We need shooting and ball movement. Ricky brings neither.

He brings risky D, solid floor general skills, and country club. That’s about it.

i'll choose to comment on whatever threads i'd like to, okay? thanks.

you know that i'd most like to use our 11 on brandon clarke. but if the team goes for nassir little or bol bol or jaxson hayes, then yeah - i'd rather they had made a trade for lonzo ball instead. and yelling loudly that rubio is a much better shooter than ball i suppose is a strong argumentative tactic, except it's not true. stats don't lie. rubio's a much better FREE THROW shooter than lonzo, but that's about it. they've hit exactly the same % of threes in their careers - but ball is far ahead of rubio shooting twos and scoring at the rim. ricky's first five years in the league, he couldn't get that number to 40%. he's breached that barrier finally with a high of 44%, but lonzo in only his second year already bested that with a 48% mark. there's no reason to think that he'll regress in this area, and like a lot of nba players do, he'll continue to grow in that regard. i'm a little surprised you're so low on ball - considering that he's been a pretty damn good defender. like i said though, i'd rather that we just pick clarke.

Yep. You have his rights for awhile too. He could still be a star. He's better than any PG in this draft after Morant and we need one desperately.
Jesus you guys. Ball is Rubio without the shot. Think about that. Rubio is 5 times the shooter Ball is. Fucking think about that!
Yeah, but Ball can finish at the rim. Think about that!

Yeah, if you're Chicago how do you not ask for Ingram or Kuzma and still demand #4... Ball?

LaVine for Ball + Hill + move up three spots? To draft Garland and pair him with Ball?

There's a reason the Pelicans would LOVE this deal.

Hart/LaVine/Zion/Kuzma/ 7th pick, hello SEKOU/and an unprotected pick?
