I can imagine him and Edwards on the same team. Some similar energy there, no?

Draft Suggs, trade DLo for a bucket of football bats, find a PF who can shoot and block shots, make Beasley our 6th man.
We've been trying to reach you about your car's extended warranty.

Suggs could move himself ahead of Mobley to the #2 spot with a big game tonight, but I really doubt he’ll ever go #1 ahead of Cunningham.

I really doubt you will be hoping that 3 years down the road. I see Suggs as star potential and Cade as superstar potential. I believe Cade will be a better #1 overall pick than Edwards. He can score in the post, midrange, and the 3 ball. And I think he has better court vision, he's a better distributor and maybe even higher basketball IQ. Suggs is a great college basketball player with the luxury of a great college team, but he didn't exactly have opposing teams scheme against him like young Mr. Cunninghan did.Sergeant Rubetube wrote: ↑Mon Apr 05, 2021 12:27 pmWell then I hope we are drafting #2.

a shot blocker he isn't. but he's very skilled and often gets by on that. reminds me of brad miller. he's looking really tired tonight in the title game, but he's been pretty lights out till now and against some tough comp - as in, he got the upper hand on mobley just a few games earlier. a lot of fringe bigs get by on one good trick in their bag - timme has more than a couple in his.Hoop Dreams wrote: ↑Mon Apr 05, 2021 9:40 pmsomuchyummy wrote: ↑Fri Apr 02, 2021 9:11 am well, if it goes like that and we don't keep our pick, i know who i'm calling 2 seconds after the draft is complete and offering a UDFA contract. drew timme. with his skills and smarts and size, he'd be seeing regular minutes at the PF slot. he's one of those guys who is just a "basketball player" who knows how to affect the game in a positive way.

Timme's not going undrafted. I think more of a small Okafor or Al Jefferson when I see him. Loads of post talent, but nothing else. There are roles for guys like that in the league.somuchyummy wrote: ↑Mon Apr 05, 2021 10:26 pma shot blocker he isn't. but he's very skilled and often gets by on that. reminds me of brad miller. he's looking really tired tonight in the title game, but he's been pretty lights out till now and against some tough comp - as in, he got the upper hand on mobley just a few games earlier. a lot of fringe bigs get by on one good trick in their bag - timme has more than a couple in his.Hoop Dreams wrote: ↑Mon Apr 05, 2021 9:40 pmsomuchyummy wrote: ↑Fri Apr 02, 2021 9:11 am well, if it goes like that and we don't keep our pick, i know who i'm calling 2 seconds after the draft is complete and offering a UDFA contract. drew timme. with his skills and smarts and size, he'd be seeing regular minutes at the PF slot. he's one of those guys who is just a "basketball player" who knows how to affect the game in a positive way.
There were a few late 1st/early 2nd round guys on display tonight that the Wolves already missed out on by trading their 2nd round pick in the Wiggins trade.

Re: *** Official 2021 NBA Draft Thread ***
what could we get for beasley in terms of a first round pick this year? whether we keep our pick or it goes to GS, GS still has another pick in the first round - i think around 14. if they get our pick, do they really want two more young players to add to their roster - considering they already have nico mannion (20), james wiseman (19), alen smailigic (20) and jordan poole (21)? so does swapping that 14th pick to us for a proven shooter with a little more experience under his belt in beasley make better sense for them? and it's not like beasley is an old guy - what is he, 24? i'm just looking at the mocks and see that two really interesting PF/C types are sitting right about there in the late lottery (kai jones and usman garuba) - both who might look pretty good paired with KAT in our frontcourt.

I could be way off here, but I think Beasley has more value than that.somuchyummy wrote: ↑Tue Apr 06, 2021 11:20 pm what could we get for beasley in terms of a first round pick this year? whether we keep our pick or it goes to GS, GS still has another pick in the first round - i think around 14. if they get our pick, do they really want two more young players to add to their roster - considering they already have nico mannion (20), james wiseman (19), alen smailigic (20) and jordan poole (21)? so does swapping that 14th pick to us for a proven shooter with a little more experience under his belt in beasley make better sense for them? and it's not like beasley is an old guy - what is he, 24? i'm just looking at the mocks and see that two really interesting PF/C types are sitting right about there in the late lottery (kai jones and usman garuba) - both who might look pretty good paired with KAT in our frontcourt.
Im thinking more like a pick in the 5 through 8 range.
