Except they don't have the pick so now we will just watch them suck with nothing to look foward to.
What are the provisions in next years pick, again?

I've been super impressed with Evan Mobley thus far.

I like Mobley better as a prospect. He seems to have a better overall feel for the game and I think he'll be a better shooter.

returned in the second half, but scary. clutching at the back of his ankle? the way things have been going lately, you immediately think torn achilles.

That was my thought because it didn't look like a bad turn at all, so figured if was Achilles.somuchyummy wrote: ↑Wed Dec 02, 2020 9:11 pmreturned in the second half, but scary. clutching at the back of his ankle? the way things have been going lately, you immediately think torn achilles.

I remember Suggs going down constantly in the State Chamionship football game. He almost immediately popped up. Shades of that tonight. He may be a bit dramatic with his injuries.j2j wrote: ↑Wed Dec 02, 2020 9:15 pmThat was my thought because it didn't look like a bad turn at all, so figured if was Achilles.somuchyummy wrote: ↑Wed Dec 02, 2020 9:11 pmreturned in the second half, but scary. clutching at the back of his ankle? the way things have been going lately, you immediately think torn achilles.

i love watching these vids of guys i'm just hearing about for the first time. (in case we trade someone on our roster for a second next year - that's the range i'm looking at.) today's vid was of an intl prospect - a 7-1 230 (7-8 wingspan) super athletic senegalese kid by the name of ibou dianko badji. nba comp was dikembe mutombo. okay. although i suppose the next dikembe has to come from somewhere, right? anyway, loads of blocked shots happening on this vid. but you gotta love it - part of the "highlights" compilation is a free throw that he banks in.

Huh? It was just a general comment. I am not expecting the Wolves to have their own first round pick in this draft.

Re: *** Official 2021 NBA Draft Thread ***
thoughts and prayers time. keyontae johnson, a 6-5 wing for Florida - and currently mocked early in the 2021 second round - is in the hospital in critical but stable condition after collapsing on court yesterday after a time out. i predict this won't be the last of this. johnson had COVID last summer - had apparently recovered - but there's all sorts of cases popping up of recurring myocarditis, an infection of the heart that is deadly - and lingering heart problems in general. there's no confirmation that i've seen yet - but what it looked like was a heart situation. i think college and pro - hell, sports in general - is going to have to become hyper-vigilant moving forward that the athletes sent out to compete aren't ticking time bombs.

don't look now, but iowa's non-nba-talent dominant center luke garza might just be making himself into an nba talent. his 4th ranked hawkeyes just got upset by indiana (he scored 28 pts) - and he's averaging what people expected of him again - another 27 ppg of dominant low post scoring. BUT...he's added a legit three point shot, which very likely could change the course of how people assess his nba chances. last year he gave an inkling with 3.5 attempts per game at a very respectable 36% - this year he's still popping 3.5 attempts per game but the success rate has gone up to 46%. shooting averages across the board this year are 65%/46%/76%. luke's a healthy 6-11 265.

We'll fall to pick #4 and Suggs will be the pick going to the Warrioras just to add salt to the wound

He is very dramatic. He was like that in football, and in basketball. I was a ref at a few of his games at Minnehaha, and he was on the floor half the game. He would lay there like he was hurt, then get up and head to the line. My partners stopped calling the little fouls because they wanted to get out of the gym. Kind of wrong, but every time it took him several minutes to get up. Football too. He would limp to the sideline, then was a full go when he got back in, only to limp off again. I would take him here though.Style wrote: ↑Wed Dec 02, 2020 9:29 pmI remember Suggs going down constantly in the State Chamionship football game. He almost immediately popped up.
