The Rubio trade had me so dumbfounded I never got off the other draft page.

Anthony Edwards is still a kid. His body nor his mind have matured yet. He has the potential to be an unstoppable force.

Most of the Wolves are gym rats. Always working on their game. Edwards is going to embrace that culture I think.

I will say it again. Wiggins was a shit load better player in the NBA when Ricky Rubio was the PG. Bringing back Rubio is the perfect move after drafting Edwards. Ricky is going to make this game fun for Edwards... and will make it fun for us. You watch.

My one concern is I don't think we have the right Head Coach for Edwards. I think Edwards would do better with someone like a Popovich (relax, just an example)... an older coach that is wise and respected. I hope that they assign David Vanterpool to Edwards and let him work on him.

Bottom line Timberwolves are not going to let him fail.

I’ve been against this pick since day one. Had an average season in college with poor shooting metrics. Then Throughout the draft process he’s shown just about every red flag you could imagine, countless interviews confirming his lack of desire and focus, his poor shooting performance at his pro day. But he’s on the team now so going to root for the kid.

He has a lot of work in front of him to make Rosas look like a genius. But there is talent to unearth here, and he seems universally liked by other players.

Feel like I’ve said this a million times, no one is/should be comparing their games. The comparison is between their inconsistent motors. This is what prevented Wiggins from achieving his full potential and will likely do the same for Edwards.

If we take a look at all the #1 draft picks, I guess there is a decent percentage that Edwards succeeds.

What I like about him is the fact that he has no conscience. The problem with him is he has no conscience.

Watched everything I could last night.

He'll get more room to operate than he did in college with less doubles, so his pure shooting will either sink or swim long-term. But he'll also have to be able to deal with not having the ball in his hands as much, which either puts him out of rhythm or keeps him fresher throughout the game. That seems to be the standard for guys who carry the load in college that transition well to the NBA and isnt on a starless team.
