Booker Unhappy with Suns

Post by UnFadeable21 »

As we pointed out in the mailbag, it’s worth noting that Trevor Trout of EliteMediaGroup recently wrote that Booker’s father, Melvin Booker, is tired of watching Devin Booker lose in Phoenix.

Something else that’s worth noting about Booker and the Suns: last summer, the Arizona Republic reported that the Suns chose not to pursue D’Angelo Russell, Booker’s close friend, in free agency because the club “apparently felt Russell wouldn’t have been a good influence on Booker off the court.”

Booker, per league sources, wasn’t happy with the organization at the time of the report. The Arizona Republic noted that Booker had campaigned for club to sign Russell, who was a restricted free agent. The Suns instead pursued Terry Rozier and ended up signing Ricky Rubio.

Booker makes 27 million

Culver makes 6 million
Would need Beasley to sign for 20 million per season
Wolves include top 3 pick

Get it done!!!!

I don't think Beasley can be combined with players in S&T. Beasley is likely here. So it falls under what Glen will pay for, granted we have low salary guys to help potentially keep us below the LUX. I tend to say hold off and avoid an overpay, but Rosas is aggressive.

Not sure I would do it...

But this is exactly the kind of thing that does happen in today’s nba.

He’ll force his way out sooner or later and we’ll probably be where he lands. Unless Rosas doesn’t want him and can convince Towns and Russel we’re better of without him.

Yup I will never doubt Rosas again. He got rid of Teague, Wiggins, and Gorgui in one season.

I'm not confident that Phoenix would agree to pay Beasley 20 million per year.

They need to spend. Then they could draft Lamelo or Edwards.

Throw in salary cap filler as well if needed like Evans?

Can he play defense or is he just another siv and we can start losing games 195 to 174.
Only 2 teams had worse points against last season. You don't win games like that.

And if he's a "passable defender" then no, I don't want to give up anything crazy for him.

Or is his offensive capability just that good?
It's been 32 years since one of MN's four major sports teams has been to the Championship/Superbowl.
Every single year is failure until we win one. 4 teams, 32 years. That's roughly 128 consecutive failed seasons.

He’s pretty much unstoppable one on one.

He can shoot, handle, create, and pass too. Good size and strength for a two guard as well.

He’s the better verison of Lavine.

Lol I like wigs and still do but to get rid of a max contract, gorgui’s 15 million, and Teague’s 19 million in one season was pretty amazing.

Absolutely god damned right. Anyone who would want Booker over Beasley, Culver, and a top 5 pick should stop posting ideas, just sit back and watch the Wolves who are fully capable of fucking the dog in the most heinous way without their help.

And now even the one team who is on par with us as the dregs of the NBA if not all sports is smart enough not to bow to their no D half game star by getting him his no D half game buddy. Just us.

but it's different thrill. we're not trying to get these two no D buddies together. we're trying to get the THREE no D buddies together. see how that's different and better? cuz three is bigger than two. it's simple math.

Three is the magic number!

I just see this as inevitable. Not pushing one way or the other.

The players (kids) rule this league now. Blame "The Decision" for how this current crop thinks. And probably NBA 2K where you can build a side to your liking.

Yup, everyone is always talking about building a championship team. We have to be realistic, we barely made the playoffs one time in 15 seasons.

Let’s build a good exciting team and see where we go from there.

It will be interesting to see which one starts bitching first when this team doesn't get it done.

I agree on having a fun team and have been saying the last few years that worrying about a championship is ridiculous when your team has made the offs once in the last 20 years or so.

I just can't get behind these three. Soft whiners. Entertaining? Sure but I'm not that big of a fan of either of the three.

The dlo trade was great hecause we got Androol out of here. Don't go giving everything up for Booker. I like Beasley better anyway.

Culver and Beasley aren't going to get us to the finals, we have a better shot at signing good role players with the big 3 then what we have now. It will be more entertaining and a better overall team. Plus happy players.
