Sid seemed like an old fart back in the 1960s when i'd listen to Today's Sports Hero on CCO with MY dad. we'd crack each other up doing impersonations of Sid back in like 1966.

With pick 133, the Orlando Magic select...
P.J. Washington
Washington had a solid rookie season starting 57 games while averaging 12.2 ppg, 5.4 rpg, 2.1 apg and shooting 37.4% from three. He averaged nearly a block and a steal per game as well. He's mainly a power forward, but with a 7'2.5 wingspan he could play some small ball center. I expect a jump in year two for Washington.
PG: Kemba Walker
SG: James Harden
SF: OG Anunoby/Derrick Jones Jr.
PF: Jerami Grant/P.J. Washington
C: DeAndre Ayton

Pick or trade up shortly
Sid is behind me and sent an offer. I'll be around so once he's back we will knock out our 2 picks.

We're almost done with round 7 and no rookies have been taken yet. This has to be the longest we've gone without a rookie taken.

Re: **9th Annual NBA froob Draft** #133 Hoop is otc
i was almost grabbing him waaaaaay earlier. nice, hard playing - and with respectable D - shooting ace. he dropped nearly 50 spots this year in our draft even though he had nearly the same kind of production as 2018-19. the only reason i took nance over him at 127 is because the remaining pool of decent wings is IMO way deeper than the pool of remaining PFs.Hoop Dreams wrote: ↑Mon Jul 13, 2020 1:39 pmI almost took him in round 6 and then again in round 7. Are you talking this upcoming draft (didn’t know we could take them, said 2020 season) or last year? Zion, Ja, RJ and Herro went alreadyHoop Dreams wrote: ↑Mon Jul 13, 2020 1:39 pm We're almost done with round 7 and no rookies have been taken yet. With the 137th pick, the Boston Celtics select:
Mo Bamba
Mo Bamba provides my team some much needed front court length, athleticism, shot making ability, and potential. He’s in a bit of a black hole on that Orlando roster behind $100M Vuc, yet Mo has too much promise to pass up at this point in the draft and with the roster I have in place. Maybe something shakes out where he gets more PT and an opportunity to bust out. Crazier things have happened.
I said it earlier in the thread, but this guy would be one of my main trade targets for the Wolves.
PG: CP3/Murray
SG: Dinwiddie/Kennard
SF: Durant/Gallinari
PF: Millsap/Clarke
C: Adams/Bamba
Superstar: Check
Floor general: Check
Shooting: Check
Defense: Check
Depth: Check
Versatility: Check
Athleticism: Check
This team has been fun to build.
That completes my draft.
Good luck to you all. I’ll make sure to check-in in a few months to see how this draft is progressing!

i think mo's going to take a step up this year. was hoping he'd last a little longer - but good on ya. he posted the other day that he's added 28 pounds over the covid break (which he needed) and most of it's muscle.
what's really going to be interesting is if bamba has a better defensive year than, ahem, jonathan isaac.

I’d send Vuc and Gordon out of town in Orlando. Build around an Isaac/Bamba 4/5.somuchyummy wrote: ↑Mon Jul 13, 2020 2:27 pm i think mo's going to take a step up this year. was hoping he'd last a little longer - but good on ya. he posted the other day that he's added 28 pounds over the covid break (which he needed) and most of it's muscle.
Try to get some defense on the perimeter with those trade chips and suddenly the team has an identity and direction.

Admittedly I did see that. And it swayed me. It was between Bamba and another “hopper” big, but when I saw Mo committed to the cause, he was mine!!!

Upcoming draft. We've always taken rookies in the upcoming draft because the draft is based on next season, not this season.Sid Hartman wrote: ↑Mon Jul 13, 2020 1:45 pmAre you talking this upcoming draft (didn’t know we could take them, said 2020 season) or last year?
