It's a cool name. Always reminds me of North Saint Paul though.

as in polar bears? i'm not sure if i'd go with an animal that's on the endangered list and most likely won't be in existence within 20 years.

Sometimes name changes are for the worse. The Ft Myers Miracle, the Twins A+ minor league team, changed their name. They are now the "Mighty Mussels". WTF. Worst name ever.

Re: Do the wolves need a new name?
good question - the creature on the logo was white - so i was assuming polar bears, which i suppose we could start having around here if everything melts - but so far i don't think we've had many sightings.

That is a much better idea than a full name change.
Or do we go all out and become the Minnesota Princes?

Or become even more renegade, call ourselves The Princes of Minnesota (i.e. instead of the State or city being mentioned first, the team name is first). Very Prince to do so.Beef Supreme wrote: ↑Sun May 10, 2020 11:47 pmThat is a much better idea than a full name change.

But we never call ourselves that. We have people announce us as that!LordNu wrote: ↑Mon May 11, 2020 12:37 amOr become even more renegade, call ourselves The Princes of Minnesota (i.e. instead of the State or city being mentioned first, the team name is first). i think Purple Pain might cover more bases - and at least it's an honest nod to our history.

Yep let's call them the Seattle Supersonics and start over with an expansion team with a new owner.
