NBA Tournament Bracket!

Here is my idea.

Lets say NBA will be down for a Month, too late to finish the season.

Lets have a Tournament with all NBA teams involved. 30 teams.

When it gets to final 8 then go to best of 3... final four best of 5, and the finals best of 7

Why would the shitty ass teams even be in this tourney?

They play too many games anyway. Not much is that likely to change except some positioning from some of the bottom seeded teams that don't have a chance anyway.

Hell, it's the NBA. Usually two or three teams have a chance st it and we all know who they are when the season starts.

Forget the rest of the regular season and start the playoffs as the teams sit today.

For this season? Sure, why not. It'd be better than playing into August or whatever that rumour was.

Realistically, this is probably what they'd like to do for that midseason tournament they were pushing so hard.

I'm not for rewarding turd teams.

You can call it like March Madness but you don't make that tournament either sucking complete balls.

The best thing to happen to some of these teams fan bases is their fans don't have to watch them again until next fall.

Honestly, I was kind of thinking the same thing, that maybe what might be best this year is case study on what a mid-season tournament might look like. It might add a little excitement where some momentum is lost due to the hiatus.

This would be such a fun thing. Teams that never stood a chance and had no expectations (like the Wolves) would play so free. There would definitely be some monstrous upsets in the first round...would likely still come down to the 3 or 4 teams everyone predicted a few weeks ago, but man would it be exciting...you'd get a March Madness feel for it.

With such extreme circumstances to this season, might as well give something out of the box like this a chance.

Where are the Warriors in your bracket though? I see the Hawks twice.

One change I would make to this brilliant idea, is to keep it single elimination throughout the whole tournament. You would then see every team giving it their all, every game.

If you need more games, you could also do something like a losers bracket. You lose, you go to the losers bracket, but you still have a chance to get to the championship by working your way through the losers bracket...this essentially makes the eventual champion to have to win two games in the final round.
