Minneapolis-St. Paul – Minnesota Timberwolves President of Basketball Operations Gersson Rosas announced the team has recalled forward Keita Bates-Diop from the Iowa Wolves, the team’s NBA G League affiliate.

Bates-Diop is averaging 22.5 points and 4.5 rebounds over two games for the Iowa Wolves this season. He was drafted by the Timberwolves in the second round (48th overall) of the 2018 NBA Draft.

not sure i'm anxious anymore for a deal - we're playing pretty well. but if we did, i'd rather go jrue than dlo. helluva defensive player as well as someone who averaged around 20 ppg last year.

To me, Covington for Kyle Kuzma makes a ton of sense for the Lakers and Wolves. RoCo can help the Lakers get a trophy this year. The salaries don't match at all so there will need to be a third team involved.

All signs really point to Dlo. What we can offer, what we need....it makes sense for both clubs.

To me, Covington for Kyle Kuzma makes a ton of sense for the Lakers and Wolves. RoCo can help the Lakers get a trophy this year. The salaries don't match at all so there will need to be a third team involved.

Kuzma is still trending up....I'm not sure Cov is an exact need since he still has time develop this year (and he too is coming off an injured offseason). I'm not attached to Cov in the right deal, but I'm not a huge Kuzma guy either.

Some would, naturally....but we all knew this team needs some balancing. Rosas needs more than a summer to do such things, but status quo would truly only be until June. We have no PG's on the roster next season. Even if Culver and Wiggins are going to be point forwards, we still need to get a PG...and ideally, we'd want said guy to be ready to come in and contribute right away. So if we don't move, I'm cool with it....but it's literally only a matter of time before we have to pick and choose the rest of Rosas build.

I'm content with how our roster looks right now. Add someone who can light it up from 3, play decent defense, and initiate the offense next summer.

And of course the moving parts of Teague, Vonleh, and maybe Graham.

If Wigs continues to do what he's been doing, a move for Russell wouldn't be prudent. I imagine you'd just end up pushing one of them off the ball, which isn't ideal for either player.

If Wigs continues to do what he's been doing, a move for Russell wouldn't be prudent. I imagine you'd just end up pushing one of them off the ball, which isn't ideal for either player.

i agree entirely with this. DLo looks so great right now because he's not having to share the ball with two of the best shooters/scorers in the league. what would his season look like if both curry and klay were healthy? and it would be the same situation here. i can see adding a PG PG - but let's look for an obvious third wheel who won't detract from what KAT and wigs are doing offensively - and ideally will play much better D than DLo. (maybe his moniker should be LoD.)

IMO holiday would be nearly perfect - although he's certainly not a great 3 pt threat. but his D is superb and he can get you points too. i just don't know if the pels are shopping him. but you look at their roster - lonzo, frank jackson, josh hart, NAW, josh gray - they do have some younger cheaper PG talent on that squad - plus they'll be getting another high pick next year in a big PG draft.
