You liked what you saw from him? I thought he looked really bad. I only watched the last two games, so maybe he was better in the previous games...but what I saw was him constantly getting beat on the glass, and having his shot swatted numerous times.

You can tell that he's been told he needs to add a 3 point shot, he was letting it fly when open, something he didnt do much of in college. And he didn't appear to be hitting consistently (or maybe even at all?)

If you are talking about a nice basketball career in general, yeah, I could see him playing 10 or so years professionally elsewhere...just didn't see any NBA potential from him (in my very small 2 game sample size of Summer League play).

There was one play that got Ryan (I accidentally first typed Flip ) out of his chair, and it came with like 2 minutes left in the game when it was still something like a 1 point game, where Memphis appeared to have a clear backcourt violation, but it wasnt called, and since nothing was called, it wasnt reviewable. Memphis then went on their run to close out the game immediately after that.

These Summer games have a more competitive vibe than they used to. I think that is in large part due to most teams having G-League teams now, and many of the players on the Summer roster are either guys who will be on the affiliated G-League roster, or will be.

Yeah, that was meant more in terms of outside the NBA. For now, at least. The little I saw from him in the 4th last night was his typical claw and scratch game, feasting on boards and getting the garbage points. Clarke’s athleticism was definitely tough for him, but the dude doesn’t quit.
