Tyus Jones 3 Years 28 Million Grizz
Wolves have 2 days to match a 9 million per year.
I think they won’t. Since they got Napier behind Teague.

oof. Kind of wanted him to stay, but that's a lot of cash for him. Go be free elsewhere, Tyus, and congratulations on all that money.
I think he's gone. Rosas seems weary of adding contracts like that right now.

Guessing they let him walk for that amount. Doesn't fit what seems to be their philosophy and that's a lot of money for a backup.

Big payday, we won't match for that. Well done to him.

I think that is too much for him.
I wouldn’t hate it if they matched, but I think it’s steep.

I can’t see potentially paying Tyus Jones 9 million per year. That’s too much for what he brings.

Re: Tyus Jones 3 Years 28 Million Grizz
I think if they don't match, it continues to show that Rosas is trying to get out of a bad cap situation. He has done a couple things that makes me believe he is trying to do that...i.e. rumors of trying to trade Wiggins and Gorgui (but no hot rumors of trading Teague (he's expiring)), along with the two one year offers for PF depth, and the small signing of Layman.
If he does match, then I become a little more lost on what his plan is.

Tyus plays such a smart fucking game. The advanced numbers really bear that out and just how effective he is when he's on the court and making everyone better, taking care of the ball, and disrupting passing lanes. His finishing and shooting wavered a lot last year, but he started to feel it again as the year progressed.
I'd pay Tyus 9 million for 3 years. I'm not sure Rosas will though.

I hope his mom is doing well. Haven't heard any news on her condition lately.

Looks like the Wolves low balled Tyus so his agent went shopping and put the team on blast lol

If Rosas is looking to retool around Towns and drop some salary to do so. Paying Tyus 9 million doesn't exactly help him accomplish that feat. The moves he's made post Russell to Warriors certainly point in that direction.

Probably wouldve just been best to say "look around the league, kid and see what kind of offers you get." If then he didnt receive an offer he and his agent felt was good, then the Wolves could start negotiations. Now we got an agent saying the Wolves low-balled them. What do the Rosas Crybabies think?
Nothing.
Wait to see what Rosas does and then rip him, regardless of his decision.

God dang, thinktank. You cry to the mods about not being able to have discussion about basketball or the Wolves. Then anyone who criticizes the Wolves or Rosas, you obsessively whine about, instead of having a discussion.
You don't want to have discussion. You just want to talk to people who agree with you, and aggressively go after those who don't.
PS, it goes both ways. If you are going to call out the 'Rosas cry babies' for waiting to see what he does to form a take on it, then what is your take? Or are you gonna just wait for him to make his decision before commenting on this?
You would probably categorize me as a 'Rosas cry baby', because I have criticized his early moves...but I have already stated my take on this Tyus thing before you claimed we would wait to see what he does.

while I’m not a Shabazz Nappier guy he shoots a ton better than Tyus. Napier 1.8 million is a fine backup and a far better than Tyus at $9 million.

Just seems like a year ago that Miami drafted him because LeBron liked him. I remember he had some fantastic college career, but fell in the draft because some thought his game didn't translate...actually sounds a lot like Tyus in that regard. Can't believe he's already 27 though.
