Re: The Undrafted
Konate & Bowman sure would fill some holes.
And Amir Coffey is another ball handling wing.

Lecque, please.
Also, Amir must have absolutely hated Pitino, basically knowing he wasn't on anyones draft board.

Wow. Highly unusual for an undrafted guy to get 4 years, two of which are guaranteed.Sid Hartman wrote: ↑Thu Jun 20, 2019 11:44 pm RT @ShamsCharania: Brewster Academy’s Jalen Lecque has agreed to a four-year, undrafted free-agent deal with the Phoenix Suns, with two years guaranteed, league sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium.

Ditched being the leader for an NCAA tournament team in a major conference, where the NBA started to take notice of him, for the promise of a 2 way contract. No draft promise, but a 2 way contract, which he is yet to receive...yeah, he didn't like playing for Rich.mlhouse wrote: ↑Fri Jun 21, 2019 12:26 amExplantion I heard he was given a guarantee of a 2 way contract.

Re: The Undrafted
But in a 2 way deal he can earn a couple hundred thousand dollars. So, the opportunity cost of college is several hundred thousand for a guy like Coffey. It is a completely understandable decision to make.bubu dubu. wrote: ↑Fri Jun 21, 2019 12:39 amDitched being the leader for an NCAA tournament team in a major conference, where the NBA started to take notice of him, for the promise of a 2 way contract. Where's his two-way contract though? Its looking more an more like he made a bad decision.mlhouse wrote: ↑Fri Jun 21, 2019 12:46 amBut in a 2 way deal he can earn a couple hundred thousand dollars. Re: The Undrafted
i'm kind of blown away that guys like louis king and jontay porter didn't get drafted - plus, of course, all the guys on the list i first posted. still three PGs of interest unsigned - ky bowman, shamorie ponds and kerwin roach II.
still upset we took nowell in the second - instead of one of the PGs taken after our pick (jordan bone, justin wright-foreman, jaylen hands, or tremont waters). nowell's a great college player and a good shooter - but as a combo, he's ultimately going to lean way more heavily towards the SG side of things. i don't think he's got the skills to be an nba PG. if we're really lucky, maybe he'll turn into a wayne ellington guy - but that doesn't move the needle much for me. mostly just a why the fuck another SG reaction.
and great news about naz reid - but he's not known for his defense at all. we still should be pursuing konate and maybe hall or cook as well. right now our bigs are KAT, dieng and KBD (if you think he qualifies as a big). two centers and a tweener. and while we're on the phones, how's about checking in with justin patton to see what he's got going. we have come out of this draft ridiculously thin up front.

Re: The Undrafted
now let's go sign sagaba too. unless he's already got something lined up overseas - or REALLY hates cold weather, it makes a lot of sense. how many other nba teams are as thin as the wolves in the front court right now? i would guess none. there's opportunity to be had for a young player.Thrillkill wrote: ↑Fri Jun 21, 2019 8:45 am Jordan Murphy comitted to play summer league for the Wolves.
