Wolves in on D'Angelo Russell?
Shams listed the Wolves as a team to be after Russell this offseason.
I would bow at Rosas' creativity if he gets that done.

It's gotta be nearly impossible for us to pull that off.

This is a move I talked about awhile ago. I would love to get him. It's not really possible though.

It's 100% possible. Nets commit to Kemba or Kyrie and then Russell says he wants to go to the Wolves. Teague and 11 for Russell is hard to beat for a sign and trade packageSergeant Rubetube wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 1:11 pm This is a move I talked about awhile ago. I would love to get him. First he will never say he wants to come to the Wolves. Secondly, they are not trading him for that offer.OliverMiller wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 1:19 pmIt's 100% possible. If the Nets get Kemba or Kyrie then why on Earth would they want Teague?OliverMiller wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 1:19 pmIt's 100% possible. Well his best friend is on the Wolves. And most sign and trades are much worseSergeant Rubetube wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 1:21 pmFirst he will never say he wants to come to the Wolves. Obviously 11 would be the big asset but Teague could be a great asset from them for matching salary in another trade.flexbuffchest wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 1:22 pmIf the Nets get Kemba or Kyrie then why on Earth would they want Teague?OliverMiller wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 1:19 pmIt's 100% possible. The Teague expiring could be real valuable come deadline time.

That’s what I was thinking as well. Maybe teams cover the Teague expiring contract. Although 2020 isn’t a good FA class sans Anthony Davis.jffl_commish wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 1:38 pm The Teague expiring could be real valuable come deadline time.

How would that work from $$$$ standpoint?
Isn't DLo going to be looking for a max contract?
I wonder how good of friends they still are after that Swaggy video.
I would have a hard time rooting for him personally.

I'd really, really like our chances if he was a UFA. It'd probably be a done deal if the Wolves had cap space too … the idea of being forced to dump contracts would make me nervous.

Expirings only have value if you're willing to take on additional years. So in theory, Russell signs a big deal with the Nets and plays like absolute shit and then the Wolves could say "here's Jeff Teague to get rid of that bad contract of yours!"jffl_commish wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 1:38 pm The Teague expiring could be real valuable come deadline time.

Cap is good for two things:KevinBaconIsNotMyHero wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 1:40 pmThat’s what I was thinking as well. Maybe teams cover the Teague expiring contract. 1. Signing players
2. Taking on bad contracts with other positive assets attached in a trade
The 2nd would be the selling point for a rebuilding team.
Or a failing team wants to avoid the tax in the next season via a cheap owner.

Has anyone ever said "I want to be traded to the Wolves"? The Wolves are the Pit of Misery. They will need to somehow hit a Home Run, in a couple drafts, over the next couple years, in order to have a real shot.OliverMiller wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 1:19 pmIt's 100% possible. Two years ago Kyrie had Minnesota on his list!Small Hands wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 1:51 pmHas anyone ever said "I want to be traded to the Wolves"? The Wolves are the Pit of Misery. How high will his offer sheet be for as a RFA? What is is hold? If things get dicey the Nets could be forced to renounce him to clear space for their Plan B, etc.

Do we really want 75 million tied up in three guys?
How would we fill out the roster? Can he play with Wiggins, or should I say make him better?

If you get Russell, your goal is to move on from Wiggins as quick as possible.

Re: Wolves in on D'Angelo Rusell?
I will say, be careful what you wish for. I could see many a game where Russell takes 24 shots, KAT ends up with 12 or something dumb like that. Not to mention Wiggins would pout with limited shots.
