It will never happen, but Malcolm Brogdon is the perfect PG for this team.

"When free agency comes, now that the season is over, I can start thinking and see where I want to go, where I can go," Rubio said. "But one thing I'm gonna look [at] for sure is the best situation for me, with the coach and the team. … I want to be happy. I'm gonna try to find the best situation for me to perform and be happy.

Utah writer said Conley is still the Jazz’s top priority but they don’t have the contracts to match for a trade.

Re: Conley-Rubio-Teague
Expiring contracts are valuable in some aspects but to a shitty team that probably wants to clear money off their books? Doubt that helps them. There's a reason I'd circle Toronto and Charlotte for Wiggins potential deals -- they have big contracts on their books they might look to move to get something else when they're already over the cap and are stuck without cap flexibility. In Toronto's case Kawhi would have to leave.Moses Scurry wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 4:03 pmDoes it matter if it's only a single year that you could maybe use at trade deadline?HeHateMe wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 4:02 pmIf I'm Memphis, I'd rather have the pick and nothing else to take back.UnFadeable21 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2019 5:09 pm Utah writer said Conley is still the Jazz’s top priority but they don’t have the contracts to match for a trade.

Just watching Ricky kick our ass all over the court just reminds me how far we have fallen from a capable PG who can run the team.
He just showed he's still levels above Tyus in their match up.

rubio has the fatal flaw that will forever reduce his value and his impact. this year he shot a tidge better than his career average - 40% instead of 39%. but he managed to shoot a tidge worse from three - 31% down a point from his career 32%. these are really, really crappy numbers. i feel for the guy. but he can't shoot and that will forever be the curse of what could have been a great career. imagine the difference if his career percentages had just been 44% and 35% instead.
There is little difference between the memory of a real event and the memory of a dream.

By then what assets do you have to trade for Conley. A mid 20’s pick won’t do it.HeHateMe wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2019 10:20 amEasy $$$.UnFadeable21 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2019 10:05 amThey would have to release Korver and Favors to be at that 30 million range

Meant it as a future pick so they can keep this year's if they want... and Memphis would prefer to roll the dice on a future pick being better of course.UnFadeable21 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2019 12:25 pmDon’t think you need to protect a first when it’s in the mid 20’s already bro lolHeHateMe wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2019 10:42 amA protected first + Exum for Conley. Remember when Wiggins wasn't god awful, and actually looked like an extremely promising prospect, so much so that he got a max deal?
That was because of one Ricky Rubio. Say what you want about him, but that's a fact.

Good to know the $30m a year player who the fate of the franchise should be resting upon for the next half decade needs his hand held by brick laying, one dimensional point guard.whiskerbiscuit wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2019 3:01 pm Remember when Wiggins wasn't god awful, and actually looked like an extremely promising prospect, so much so that he got a max deal?

How many dementions does Jeff Teague have? He's a shit defender that doesn't make anyone better and for more money than Ricky. Bringing back the Spaniard isn't my first preference but it wouldn't be a bad thing at all.

I'd take Ricky back in a heartbeat over what we have now. Just surround him with shooters. You can win a title with him and a solid backup that can shoot.
Never should have gotten rid of him to begin with, especially for Turd Teague and 5 extra mil. Certainly should have drafted Turd Dunn to replace him.
Biscuit's plan of
Ricky
Murray or Hield
Wiggins
Markaanen
Towns
And whatever we could get for Lavine would look damn nice right now.
Fuck Thibs.

Thibbs was like a totally irrational fanboy when it came to Butler. He put on the blinders when he got here and used almost every asset the Wolves had in his attempts to get Butler from the moment he got here. Thibbs didn’t stop to consider the reality that Butler really never wanted to come here. Just because Butler liked Thibbs didn’t mean he was going to like Minnesota.whiskerbiscuit wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2019 5:31 pm I'd take Ricky back in a heartbeat over what we have now. To his credit, he did get Butler. In the end though watching how Thibbs lied to Butler and hid information from the Timberwolves organization was easily one of most pathetic, sad and unprofessional things I had ever seen. He 100% earned his shitcanning.
Now here we are......Rosas and Saunders get to fix it. So many things are going to have to fall into place for these guys to succeed, and with this organization’s record of ineptitude and bad luck.......it’s really hard to have any confidence in them pulling this off.
I am hoping for the best though.
GO WOLVES!!
Also, your “dream team” looks a lot like mine.

Still a much more promising squad than what we're looking at. Thibs' scorched Earth policy will cost us Towns. I'm certain of it.

Re: Conley-Rubio-Teague
Here is what the Spanish guard said, per Marca:
“It will be very fun because I’m able to choose between many teams. But it depends on many factors because there will be many free players that will determine how the market will go. Any movement will affect the market and there will be a domino effect.
It depends on some movements in the market but that doesn’t mean that I have to settle for what is left. There are options that will remain and I can choose.
There are teams that have a starting point guard with a contract, which I can forget, but there are others who are looking for a point guard.
The priorities are to go to a team that has importance and minutes and is set for the playoffs. This already rules out some teams.”
