I watched Tacko Fall play twice all year. I feel like I need to watch more of him before I give an honest opinion. My early impression is that he doesn’t have the mobility on defense needed to be a great defensive player and he’s pretty raw on offense.
Watching Zion struggle against him is enough for me to spend a 2nd rounder on him.
32 and 11 on 50% shooting isn't exactly a struggle.
He did most of that when Tacko wasn't on the floor.
Didn't you watch the game?

between doumbouya and clarke, i'd take clarke. i'll agree that doumbouya probably has the greater upside, but i'm pretty happy with what i see as clarke's floor. the motor, the athleticism, the instincts, the bbiq, the temperament are all right there right now for clarke. agewise he even fits with our core. he's going to have to put on some weight, but he acknowledged that. i just see him as someone who will really be driven to excel in the nba - whereas nearly all of that are unknowns for sekou. for sure, he will have a lot of growing up to do. for sure, he will have culture shock to adjust to. for sure, he will have basketball culture shock to deal with as he faces regular competition waaaay, waaaaaay better than anything he's seen before. some players thrive with that, some fold. what brandon clarke could bring to the team - and by that i mean right now - is nearly a given IMO. and it's something we desperately need.

There's a lot of Brandon Clarke love in here and rightfully so, but is anyone worried that he weighs 210 pounds and only has a 6'8 wingspan? There's shooting guards bigger than him in the NBA. And he'll be 23 at the start of the season. Just not sure yet if he's worthy of the 11th pick.

I know, it took him a whole game to do it (with Tacko in foul trouble)

Tacko aint a very good ball player, but I think he will be intimidating even in the pros.
I'd spend a 2nd rounder on him.

They had guys with body fat in the 2's. That is like fatal. They did not know what they were doing.

And Taco is not an NBA Player.

I don't know what body fat has to do with it, but I'll be surprised if he isn't on an NBA roster next season.

i was just surprised by how low his % was. 6.8 was the same number admiral schofield had. most of the players were between 4s and 6s.

Clarke’s shooting numbers at the combine were surprisingly good. Middle of the pack.

Jordan Bone shot the hell out of it.

kabengele shot well too. i think that guy's a late first sleeper who's going to be a good pro.

Two guys I thought could be solid second round picks at #43, Nic Claxton or Luka Samanic , probably played their way into the first round.

i've always thought that claxton was mocked too low - especially when jaxson hayes looks like a lock for the lottery. still don't know if it will get him (or samanic) into the first round though. who gets chucked into the 2nd if they move up?

There are only so many spots. Every year after the combine 4-5 guys look like they moved into the 1st. Even if true it just drops 1st rounders to the 2nd. Samanic is the guy who makes me sad though. Wanted him as a 2nd round stash guy all year. Would have been awesome to stash until we move Saric. And he had a rough end to the season hurting his value. Oh well.

Jordan Bone is a hell of an upside pick in the 2nd. Not sure if he can be a full time PG but he is a freaky athlete.

I remember back in the days of Sessions and Love that trading for Rudy Gay was a fairly popular request. Would have provided a little bit of comedy relief during the Kahn era

Could the froobs that wanted Wes Johnson, Jahlil Okafor, Kris Dunn, and Adreian Payne remind me so I can update my ignore list?

Was this around the Johnson draft so we could have Cousins or Johnson in that lineup too?

I'm not sure. Ramon was here only for the 09-10 season and Wesley and Cousins were in the 2010 draft. IDK when Sessions actually left the team

my at the time 12 year old used to run scenarios where the announcer would say "deng! green diawara all on the floor now" - a natural given the scatology rampant in 12 year olds and their immature dads.

I'll be shocked if Sekou is there at 11.

I agree, unlikely Sekou drops to 11 now.

I have seen several recent hints that the Twolves are leaning toward Rui. Givony says he's unlikely to get past 11.

Big fan of Rui. Apparently a really good team guy too. I wonder how his 3 ball will be.

He's growing on me...that was impressive. I just am having trouble getting over the reports about his defense.

Aside from Rui, I'll end up supporting whoever we get. I do not want Rui at all. My first preference is Clarke though.

He's my pick for the Wolves right now. I know it's a small sample size, but he shot 41% from three this season on one attempt per game.
