No idea. What position are we wanting to fill? PF or PG?

Think Zion Williamson will slip? I’ve heard he’s pretty good. Probably a top-10 guy though, eh?
Typical wolves luck. Should draft 10th and woulda had a shot at Zion. Now maybe we get the next Shabazz Muhammad.

let's hope clarke doesn't go ten. if he goes, then i think it should be sekou - but it sets us back. clarke will be ready to contribute immediately. doumbouya is going to be more of a project.

still think we should give a call to the celtics. they might not want three first rounders. if we traded them our 11 for their 20 and 22 - they'd still have 11 and 14. as for us, we'd probably be looking to come away with a PG combo guard like nickeil alexander-walker or ty jerome - and then with the other get our big, either daniel gafford or bruno fernando. this might be a bad move, i'm just throwing shit out there. but i'd seriously go for something like that if garland, white and clarke are all taken before 11.

Trade the 11th pick and Wiggins to Memphis for Mike Conley.
Memphis will add Ja Morant, Brandon Clarke, and Andrew Wiggins.

He's playing at a higher level than Clarke but is a lot younger and being a 3 shooter will need to adjust to the NBA line. Never heard an interview so don't know about language. Plus I see Doumboya as a better fit in Atl. Collins is not much of a shooter or defender and should probably play full time 5. But as much as I love Clarke I don't think I could pass on Doumboya's offensive upside. Not sure if I could pass on a trade back if I thought I could get Gafford and another pick. But would be super thrilled to get Clarke. Just don't fuck it upsomuchyummy wrote: ↑Tue May 14, 2019 8:05 pm let's hope clarke doesn't go ten. if he goes, then i think it should be sekou - but it sets us back. clarke will be ready to contribute immediately. doumbouya is going to be more of a project.
As I have been saying for months the PG dream in this 1st is long dead. Athletic big has always been need 1 anyway. Now we shouldn't be able to screw it up.

No way I don't get 14. 17 with Brooklyn is as far back as I would go. Gafford needs to be there for me to be trading back. Not missing out on all 3 freaky athletic bigs.somuchyummy wrote: ↑Tue May 14, 2019 8:09 pm still think we should give a call to the celtics. they might not want three first rounders. if we traded them our 11 for their 20 and 22 - they'd still have 11 and 14. as for us, we'd probably be looking to come away with a PG combo guard like nickeil alexander-walker or ty jerome - and then with the other get our big, either daniel gafford or bruno fernando. this might be a bad move, i'm just throwing shit out there. but i'd seriously go for something like that if garland, white and clarke are all taken before 11.

Gross. This team is so far away from being good. Trading a good pick for a old, battered PG is not my idea of fun.

Hachimura is a solid defender with crazy offensive upside. Really does have that Greek Freak lite look. Not the shot blocker but way better shooter. Could really play fast with him.
Not taking Bol a year after wasting pick on Patton. Be better off just re-signing Patton.
Doumboya is the best all around big but shooting and handle likely have him gone when we pick. Should be him if he's there.
Clarke is the sure thing. Will board and block shots and can run the floor. Great help and switch defender. If shooting continues improvement has some upside. Should be able to get 15 a night just on dunks and FT's.
Gafford is probably the safest all around bet. Can play 4 and 5 easily. Top athlete and top size. Runs the floor like a deer. Not a good shooter but it's not broken. Has nice form and should get better.

Go watch some youtube. He's really good. Ah, screw it. He'll be gone by 11. Hayes is a straight 5. Not a good fit for us.UnFadeable21 wrote: ↑Tue May 14, 2019 8:39 pmI think Hayes might go ahead of us and I don’t watch international basketball so don’t know much about Sekouwitljon wrote: ↑Tue May 14, 2019 8:28 pmI think I prefer Jaxson Hayes or Sekou Doumbouya, but I have no real reason why.UnFadeable21 wrote: ↑Tue May 14, 2019 8:24 pm Brandon Clarke

The 2 Im not a fan of is Rui and Bol. I feel they're both high bust risk.

i guess we'll see what shakes out from the combine. but i don't think boston would trade their 14 to us. and, for what it's worth (and these opinions are just opinions like yours and mine), here's how the athletic bigs we might covet have been shaking out in the various mocks. i looked at NBC, CBS, nbadraftnet, BleacherReport, Heavy, tankathon, and draftsite - and here's how they had these guys pegged (i'll do it in the same order i listed the sites in case you're interested).Thrillkill wrote: ↑Tue May 14, 2019 8:18 pmNo way I don't get 14. 17 with Brooklyn is as far back as I would go. Sekou Doumbouya - 14, 13, 15, 20, 14, 9 and 17
Brandon Clarke - 17, 11, 23, 10, 15, 11 and 8
Bruno Fernando - 24, 28, 12, 29, 26, 19 and 29
Daniel Gafford - 26, unspecified 2nd round, 22, 26, 36, 30 and 36
so anyway, at least how it's playing out in the mocks (and i haven't included ESPN's cuz i'm a cheap bastard), there's a pretty high percentage that any of these guys could still be there for us at 11. but if you really like gafford, there's also a pretty high chance that he'll be available at 20 or 22 as well. and if we did a trade with boston for their 20th and 22nd picks - then you'd probably be able to pick up a guy like ty jerome as well - who looks to be everything tyus is, except bigger and with a much better shot.
final note: when you list athletic bigs that you hanker for, i haven't seen you mention mifiondu kabengele. he's another one who would undoubtedly be available for us around 20 and 22.

Never really seen Kabengele have a top notch game. He's got skills but just doesn't jump off the screen defensively for me. I do like Fernando but shy away from him too just because he seems much more C than 4. I have my 3 I really want. But Hachimura has to be in the mix too.somuchyummy wrote: ↑Tue May 14, 2019 8:44 pmi guess we'll see what shakes out from the combine. but i don't think boston would trade their 14 to us. and, for what it's worth (and these opinions are just opinions like yours and mine), here's how the athletic bigs we might covet have been shaking out in the various mocks. i looked at NBC, CBS, nbadraftnet, BleacherReport, Heavy, tankathon, and draftsite - and here's how they had these guys pegged (i'll do it in the same order i listed the sites in case you're interested).Thrillkill wrote: ↑Tue May 14, 2019 8:18 pmNo way I don't get 14. 17 with Brooklyn is as far back as I would go.
