New rules this year so it makes it a little more interesting.

I wish they had a recent success(playoffs/lottery) factor thrown in like the NHL did for the Sidney Crosby draft, and current playoffs results factors added in like the NHL does now(they had their lottery April 9th, but they don't know who gets the last 4 picks until the playoffs are over, 16-31 are determined by playoff results).

That doesn't make sense. Normally it's protected if it's in the top whatever. At #14 it should go to whoever, top 4 stays with Sacto. But I didn't hear it so.......

Sacramento made a trade to Philly back in 2015 to clear cap space, which also included a protected 2018 1st that if not conveyed became a 2019 unprotected pick.

Philly then traded that pick to Boston in the Markelle Fultz trade(with top 1 protection).
