Imagine the pandemonium on WC if we lucked out and got #1. We might actually all rejoice together and get along for a few hours.

Maybe we should use a rube here to represent us like Cleveland did to win the lottery?

Now, who here is most like that Cleveland kid?

That kid was the owner's son. Taylor's kids are in their 70s.

i refuse to endorse this suggestion. if we got the first, dougy would undoubtedly whack off and then take a large dump on live TV. it couldn't be helped - scatalogy is his bread and butter. but the nba would penalize us for the outburst and redo the ping pong drop. we'd go from #1 to #11. then, on draft night, we'd wind up with bol bol instead - who would break both kneecaps tripping on the stairs on the way to the podium.

Dont worry. I'd draw up an indemnification agreement that would prohibit the NBA from punishing the Wolves for Bubbles behavior. Full immunity for his inevitable poop play.

Are you kidding? The NBA wouldn't want constant national TV games of Towns and Zion beasting? Why? Because of the zero money they get from NY's cable TV contract? Here's something I can't believe you don't know. The NBA has nothing to do with teams anymore as to money. It's about stars.

Zion in NY or Chicago would be huge globally. Zion in Minnesota would be a nice local story.

Houston back in the McGrady days was not a global phenomenon, they got Yao, then all of a sudden the whole Houston squad was making all star games. I don't think it matters anymore unless you consider the fattest city in America to be some international hub of sophistication.

Are some of you still under the impression the lottery is rigged even though there’s ample evidence that’s it preposterous? It’s like the dumbest conspiracy theory is professional sports.

Did the NBA realize the impact Yao was going to have at the time? I believe it was a surprise.

I like to think the frozen envelope year was a real rigging. But now it seems like it'd be impossible to do.

Don't worry... The Wolves are getting the #4 pick.

Silver (Jewish) wants to get Rosas (Latino) over.

Well, if we could at least get into the top 4 it would create a huge buzz in Wolves land.
