We either need to finally get some lottery luck (still have NEVER moved up in the draft) or get lucky and land that gem in the teens like Giannis, etc. pair that guy with Towns and go.

That’s our best and only realistic shot.
This! It's going to take a few year's going this route but it's the only way. This team should be on full out tank mode next year.
Full on tank mode is unrealistic with guys like KAT, Covington, and Saric. And with Saunders as coach. These guys don’t want to lose 60 games next year. KAT surrounded with healthy players on this years team is winning 35 games minimum next season.
I agree. That's the problem. I'm saying a tank season is what we need.

This is a 35-40 win team for the next couple year's unless something drastic happens.

That's the problem with the Wolves. They don't understand what kind of team they have or what kind of team they need to win. They go into every season just wanting to make the playoffs whether their team sucks or not. They need to have the championship mentality. This means it may take a few years to get the team ready for something like that. Tanking from the start may be necessary.

But then rises the next problem. Drafting guys like Dieng over Gobert. Rubio and Flynn over Curry. We need to be better than that.

Tanking won't happen, but I agree with the outlook. The western conference; look around. I envy the roster of almost every team we were ‘supposed’ to have passed by now. For years I’ve thought; ’Well, at least we aren’t the Kings’. Today? I’d much rather have their roster, excellent coach, and dynamic young pieces. Same rings true for Dallas, Denver, Utah, etc.

Barring a miracle trade, a draft jackpot of Giannis proportions, and/or a genius GM/POBO willing to work on the cheap for Glen fucking Taylor (sure!) we are heading for basketball purgatory. This is KG with average pieces, a poorly structured roster, and the same dumbass owner all over again.

I thought they were the team that was going to land Jimmy Butler to help him.

So unguardable now means can't guard anyone? You crazy kids and the new lingo.

I do think that J. Bolden and D. Powell would agree.

Jesus fuck....................Bolden and Powell.

As a big KAT fan, I'll admit that I've gotten to the point where I think he never will be a good defender.

Maybe at best I think he could be an overall passable defender, but so often this year he has still made me want to pull the hair out of my head , defensively at least.

And I think it's all up in his head.

If he were to work on better body positioning, self discipline, and not committing stupid fouls like half-assing ball swipes and lazy reach-ins, that could really do wonders for him.

KAT and Wiggins have a significant amount of growing up to do and still have a ways to go when it comes to the mental part of the game, IMO.

Continues to amaze how many here call themselves fans but would rather they are right and have Wigs Towns suck than have him get better and make us better. What great "real' fans they are.
Way to be consistent and not a hypocrite ;)

Zach Lowe today and I've heard him say it before, (slight paraphrasing), "Towns could be the most versatile and devastating scoring big man in NBA history. Period.
