Elite backup, low level starter. A guy I want to have on the roster for a long time. He absolutely moves the needle for positive more often than not.
I'd like to see him used, minutes wise, the way Schroder is used in OKC. 20-25 mins as a backup PG. Ideally the starting PG is someone who can play with Tyus in a Westbrook role/minutes distribution.
You just have to hope he continues to get stronger so he can stretch out his range. Also wish he could figure out how to either get the floater to drop or draw a foul in the lane. He has become a legit backup PG though. But you start him and he would be beat down by bigger stronger guys in 20 games.
Very simple Taylor. Don't bid against yourself like you do with all your favorites. Let the market set his price. If he wants to be here he will come to us with an offer sheet before he signs it and negotiate. If not then it's we match a small deal and not a bigger one.
It's too bad he didn't do that with Wiggins. If someone wanted to pay that lazy ass a max, good riddance. If he'd have gotten an offer like Lavine's, I think we'd all be much more tolerant of his lack of effort and production.

Coming off that season he was averaging 23 ppg and durable for a 21 year old. I don't blame Glen or the team for signing him.
Wolves were afraid of the same situation that happened to Gordon Hayward and Love. They sign 3+1 deals in RFA or with the team. They walk early.

Wiggins hadn’t been as good all around as either of those guys.

No he hasn't, but at the time he was ascending and that's why he got the deal when he did.
Year 1 Rookie of the year
Year 2 Rising Stars MVP 20 PPG
Year 3 23 PPG
Then he got the deal.
He has regressed but I still hold out hope because Karl and Ryan still have hope in him too.

Giving a shit about an MVP in a game where no one plays defense or gives a shit is the dumbest fucking argument in the history of arguments.
Don't bother because one of two things...
Unfadeable is just trolling or he's really that ignorant and can't comprehend how dumb it is. I'm thinking the latter.

Come on now, don’t go mucking up this Tyus positivity thread with pissing and moaning about Wiggins. There might be a few other threads on the board dedicated to that, maybe like one or two...
This is Tyus Time......brought to you by jodaman01. Let’s celebrate the future!!!
forget about tyus just having problems guarding the bigger stronger points in the league. tonight against a smaller, weaker, younger trae young was telling. tyus - 7/2/11. young - 36/8/10. abused.
There is little difference between the memory of a real event and the memory of a dream.

Tyus is just fine in a 15-20 mpg role. Not elite like someone said earlier, but serviceable. Problem is he gets exposed too much on the defensive side with his size and athletic disadvantages when he needs to play extended minutes. You'd also hope he would have developed a 3 point shot by now too
Like I have said, he's fine some nights and has proven me wrong as i thought he was a d-league player but he's just not strong enough night in, night out. Solid backup.
besides the 3 pointer that he needs to improve, it'd be great if he had a serviceable floater by now too. if anyone ever looked like they were made for the floater, it's tyus. just hasn't happened yet - and after 4 years in the league, you have to wonder if it ever will.

i've said it before. i think tyus himself would welcome a change. conquering hero returns home - yea!! and then later, not so many yeas! and a bunch more mehs. carrying that stone on top of his head every night can't be fun. ship him to atlanta or sacto or wherever and he can just be another baller.
