People keep saying that it’s a question of effort and not skill. That’s nonsense. He’s an inefficient shooter, always has been. He’s a bad ball handler and passer. He hasn’t improved either. His defense may be a question of effort but his off ball defense is also about knowledge. I just think it’s time to stop saying it’s all about him being lazy, and realize he’s very athletic but not skilled.

Yea. You have. I’ve also been a Wiggins realist as well. My delusion was him becoming a better defender. It just hasn’t happened and I thought it could. But he’s a clueless team defensive player. Difficult to watch. And his ball handling for someone who has the ball as much as he does is also below average. I think it’s why he’s hesitant to drive and often just shoots a pull up jumper which is such a stupid, inefficient shot. It honestly sucks to talk about him at this point.

Sadly, it's both....Wiggy is not skilled AND he's lazy. OUCH

Maybe he just needs a pair glasses to improve his shooting and a good nights sleep for more energy.

At least Andrew acknowledges his performance lapses unlike a lot of players. He is still young and he is better then most people his age. He may just be a late bloomer. I'm not expecting AW to be a #1 but #2 I'm fine with.

I don't know the whole story either, but part of the story is that Glen Taylor and KG hate each other and the only reason KG was here was because of Flip and that he'd be a minority owner with Flip of the Wolves, that all fell apart when Flip died.

So you don’t think keeping KG around would have helped the player development in KAT and Wiggins, and that he possibly could have helped make the Butler situation here work any better. I believe he could have made huge a difference in all of it, and that he should have been hired by the organization in some other professional player/organization related roll.

I think Glen put in a big effort to hire a firm to get a coach and leader for his business. They brought Thibbs to the door. Part of the deal in going in that direction was to destroy and deal Flip had with KG and himself. Everybody knows now that that Thibbs wanted to be the only voice in any of the players ears.
