I think I have settled on a Wiggins comparison.

That trade took so long to happen because Thibs wanted Wiggins for Butler straight up, but was overruled by Glenn
Chicago was asking for Wiggins not Lavine.

This was never mentioned anywhere.....anywhere.

The facts on the table are Dunn, LaVine and at one point Thibbs offered Rubio during - Dunn’s draft night.

The next season Thibbs went back with the same offer plus (minus Rubio) and an additional top ten pick. Which was an even worse deal. There were posters here who wanted it to be Wiggins - but no mention I recall whatsoever of Chicago demanding Wiggins and Glenn demanding it be LaVine in the media.

The only Wiggins deal I’ve ever seen in the media while Thibbs was here was a potential deal with The Raptors for DeRozen, and I don’t know if it was Taylor who shut that down.
