Waiting to see what DLO looks like with KAT and a training camp here. Also how the whole Beasley dynamic works.

Waiting for Wiggins to see what he looks like with actual starter from that team and a training camp.

Grading or getting excited either way right now is pretty worthless.

GO WOLVES!!
I think the situations listed above ARE reasons to be excited for Wolves and NBA fans. If the trade ends up being a "win-win" then both the Wolves and GS can stick it a bit (just the tip) to the Lebron-led WC upper echelon. Building a roster instead of recruiting a roster is a reason for home town team fans to get excited.

Malik Beasley for #1!

No clue WHO player 2 could be though

Can get his shot off at any time.

TS% of 54 puts him outside the top 100. 286 to be exact.

Beasley with the Wolves: 61.2 TS% and 115.8 off and 119.4 def
Seems they beat Denver the other night with Wiggins and Paschall leading the way.

Wish we could beat Denver, Congrats Wiggs.

Wiggins' stat line has been pretty flat with the Warriors (per 36 minutes) as compared for his season with Minnesota. The only exception is that his steals and blocks numbers are up.
Image

Meanwhile, Beasley has been enjoying his new role in Minnesota (per 36 minutes). Although, his steal numbers are down, too. Minnesota must be taking a more conservative approach in gambling in the passing lanes.

Here's some Cov per 36 for defensive reference:

Great take.....

One is actually playing with DLO right now. Wiggins hasn’t had many games with a good point man yet. Had one game with Curry, scored over 20. He’s going to have a nice life there if he manages to fit into their lineup.

I always wanted to see Wiggins play with DLO, I thought it would have helped both his and KAT’s games. Wiggins was always better with Rubio, DLO would have likely helped him here.

I like Beasley, but he isn’t very big and that is going to make things tough here and they will have to compensate for it with who they end up playing next to him. Our backcourt is getting beat pretty good right now by some pretty average backcourt players. Having Okogie who is short in the lineup with DLO and Beasley, for me looks completely unacceptable. The hope for me is that Culver can push Okogie to the bench, if not Rosas will need to trade or find a FA to fix that starting position.

I love Beasley’s attitude and toughness on the court, but he brings big limitations that will need to be addressed by putting the right players next to him to cover them.

GO WOLVES!!

Anyone watching GSW on opening night right now?

1-8 and 2 turnovers so far. Only half way through the 2nd quarter at the moment.

He'll put up some garbage time stats to make the box score look nice for those 2.

So, before he does that, here's his line right now with his team down 30...

4/15, 2 rebounds, an assist, a block, 4 turnover.

Gersson needs Exec of the year for convincing a team to take this clown, and hand us back someone who has been to an allstar game back to us in the process.

Youd just think that with it being a new season, and a (relatively) new team, and with them needing some offensive punch with Klay still out, he'd come in with a renewed outlook, but it seems to be the same exact Wiggins.

RealGM has some gems....

A thread titled "Wiggins = Demote him to 2nd unit"

Most are actually defending Wiggins, but some see the light already....
great -- both Wiggins and Oubre are turds, who barely even have even BPM/VORP for their careers, which is actually hard to do in today's NBA

not really sure why people are white knighting for Wiggins on this board tbh.
he should not be starting with Curry at all, he actively inhibits rhythm because he has no idea how to move, where to be, can't set screens or picks and his timing on everything is completely off
We just have to accept that we (Or Myers, haha) shot himself in the foot trading for Wiggins for losing a Superstar (KD), to an average starter (D'Angelo), to a All NBA Scrub 1st team.
Can we demote Wiggins off of the team please. God I hate watching him play basketball.

This Clyde guy on realGM has been hitting the nail on the head when fans are trying to defend Wiggins.

In reply to someone saying he just needs coaching and some time watching film to erase the bad habits he learned in Minnesota...
he's been getting NBA level coaching for 6 years now, dude sucks, doesn't have BBIQ and has zero instincts, people knew this when he was at Kansas but were enamored with the physical profile while ignoring the fact that he just sucks at the game of basketball.

if by year 7 he still doesn't know how to set a screen on the wings, it's no longer an issue of coaching.
I'm guilty myself of being enamored with his physical abilities coming out of college....and also vividly remember Kansas fans hating the guy. I have a friend specifically who is a huge Kansas fan who just couldn't stand him at all.
