The audience was freaking tweaking during that FF7 remake spot.

If you were a fan of Xbox backwards compatibility (Best thing about it imo)

They have announced the last batch of games and games getting 4K patches for One X.

They are focusing on the next gen. Seems a bit premature but kudos on giving it to us in the first place.

The FF 7 remake looked really cool. I played the shit out of the original in college.

Avengers was a let down. No gameplay is the reason why.

The Star Wars game looked cool but Cyberpunk is the best IMO so far.

Sort of a meh E3 so far. Bethesda's conference was awful with all the mobile crap. Xbox didn't show the new console and that bugged me too.

Sucks Sony didn't come.

As cool as the remake looks, I'm just bracing for the let down. There's just no way that game or really any game can impact me as powerfully as the original did. Outside of VR stuff anyway. Every time I put that headset on it really just surprises me how incredible it feels to actually be in the environment the game is creating. I haven't played a game even close to as compelling as FF7 was on VR, but I can definitely say that VR is the future of gaming. Sometime soon, a true AAA game is going to blow up in the VR realm, and it will be off the races with the tech.
They should've done the remake of FF7 in VR.
It's been 32 years since one of MN's four major sports teams has been to the Championship/Superbowl.
Every single year is failure until we win one. 4 teams, 32 years. That's roughly 128 consecutive failed seasons.

Year but then I would get fired from my job because I didn't show up for work for 2 weeks straight.
Therein lies the problem.

AMD released a monster processor for 799. 16 cores, 4.7 GHz, drops in most am4 motherboards. It even comes with a cooler.

Stop buying Intel guys.

Intel's been living off rep for quite awhile now.

Been out the game for a few year's but every time I hear this, AMD fucks something up.

If you want value go AMD.

If you want the best, less hassle, cool running etc.

Intel/Nvidia is still the best combo in the game.

I was all ready to finally go red a few year's back with the RX 480 and then they had all those issues with it getting hot as hell and pulling way too many watts.

A month later Nvidia dropped the GTX 1060 and shit in AMDs mouth.

I know Intel has been very stagnant as of late but they haven't exactly had any competition either.

No offense Rube, but that is an old wives tale from a bygone era. AMD CPU's are top notch, are cheaper, have more threads, and they are supporting their AM4 sockets until at least through 2020 which means all future zen CPU's will be supported on current motherboards.

They did have driver issues back in the ATI days but the new driver packages are very stable with their newest video cards.

Pretty sure Abe is running the system I suggested and I'm doubting it's having any issues as he's playing everything at max on a mid-tier build.

AMD RYZEN 7 2700X 8-Core 3.7 GHz (4.3 GHz Max Boost): $300
Intel Core i9-9900X Skylake X 10-Core 3.5 GHz (4.4 GHz Turbo): $1000

And you don't need a whole new motherboard if you want to drop in the next gen AMD CPU.

I like supporting the underdog too who is really trying to do good to their consumers.

But yes, Nvidia's best is still the best. But the two Nvidia cards I had died. Never had an AMD Radeon die on me.

I found Abe his rig for a great deal. Yes it was All AMD. I'm not saying it's bad. I have built rigs from the ground up and I know all about the driver issues etc and that not being a issue anymore.

I'm just saying if I am spending top dollar, I'm buying a intel/Nvidia setup. I'm a fanboy what can I say.

It's all I ever built with.

I do agree AMD has really stepped their game up. The Bulldozer GPUs were absolute piles of shit.

I stopped paying attention in the beginning of 2017 when I sold my rig off.

I'm also the same way with my phones. I have no problem with Android but if I'm spending top dollar, I'm going Apple.

Bleh, Apple whore. OnePlus 6T here. Comes with nothing loaded but Android and few bare esstentials. You basically have to load anything you want. No bloatware, no shitty apple ecosystem, nothing. That's the way I like it.

16-core, 32-thread Ryzen 9 3950X processor, 3.5GHz base clock, 4.7GHz boost clock, 72MB of cache and 105W TDP for that many cores is insane. I mis-spoke, it's $749 not 799.

You can play any game at max and stream with no impact basically. Beastly.

I understand. Android definitely gives you more options. I'm someone who doesn't use my phone for much other than calls, texts and some browsing. I don't even really use apps.

I like the iPhone for it's simplicity. I don't use itunes or any of that so I don't get wrapped in the ecosystem.

Probably an Radeon RX 5xxx (the new Navi gen of Radeon cards, not out yet.) They just announced the 5700/5700 XT which is mainstream upper/mid-tier. I'll wait for the benchmarks and see what's up. But I don't play FPS so I don't need insane frame rates. We shall see.

Nah, still have a 1080p Asus something. But when i game with controllers (Dark Souls, etc), I stream to my Steamlink to my 70" TV. I was gonna build a Pi and see if it was better than the Steamlink but never got around to it. I imagine the Pi could do better than 1080p.

E3 isn't what it used to be.
With how widespread these publishers are online with their own branding, and how fast these release trailers can get to the interested parties, meeting in a physical location to give these press conferences, just doesn't make a ton of sense. I'll be interested to see what people say about the show and how it looks this year.
I go back on this, E3 was AMAZING this year! I think due to having a PS4 I wasn't thinking I would be interested. Happy to be so very wrong on this.

I bought a couple freesync monitors, but I guess it just didn't see much of a difference. Is it because I'm not huge into for games or are the monitors just not up to snuff? Full disclosure, I did buy on the lower end of what could get. Money started to become a consideration...
I don't think you'd notice unless you're playing some shooters or quick moving games.

The name FreeSync is a brand name that refers to AMD’s implementation of adaptive synchronization technology. It essentially allows a display to vary its refresh rate to match the render rate of a graphics processor, so that, for example, a game running at 54 FPS is displayed at 54 Hz, and when that games bumps up to 63 FPS the display also shifts to 63 Hz. This reduces stuttering and screen tearing compared to monitor operating at a fixed refresh rate, say 60 Hz, displaying a game running at an unmatched render rate like 54 FPS.

I don't think we got a ton of surprising new stuff, but they might just be holding back new game announcements for next generation or see how those games are shaping up. We did get dates on new stuff we saw last year for the first time from now to next May, so lots of stuff to play I guess as the generation winds down.

I watched the E3VR show and I'm feeling pretty good about this coming year. If PSVR drops in price I'm probably getting it though. I love my quest, but I don't see any AAA games coming out for it. I want to try Resident Evil, Skyrim, and a few other titles available for the PS4. If it doesn't drop... I might get a Rift S...
How are your eyes after using VR?

Not bad at all with the quest. I've played over an hour in one session and just felt a little euphoric after.
An hour is meant to be the max?
