Cool and cheap indies

Post by YBBR »

Dead Cells (PC, Sony, Xbox, Switch)
Hollow Knight (PC, Sony, Xbox, Switch)
Cuphead (PC, Xbox, Switch)
Into the Breach (PC, Switch)
Pyre (PC, Sony, Xbox, Switch)
Celeste (PC, Sony, Xbox, Switch)
Superhot (PC, Sony, Xbox)
Steamworld Dig 2 (Sony, Switch)
Subnautica (PC, Sony, Xbox)

I wanted to post some really good indie games for people to check out and enjoy. Subnautica is $30. But I think everything else is $20 or under.

Correct it's the same studio that did both.

I'm only 1 hr into Edith Finch but I've heard it's amazing.

Firewatch was a lot of fun.

Excited for Hades. Supergiant's 4th game. Herky recommended their first two games and I mentioned Pyre. It's in early access on the Epic Store.

Fell in love with Stardew. Put 100 hours into that game. Paid what 15 bucks?

My brother loved Pyre. I haven't played it but plan to.

Life Is Strange I think counts as an indie game. I haven't played the new one yet but the first one was pretty fun.

It's a mix between a visual novel and cosmic rugby. I liked the story and especially the characters a lot. Their art is absolutely gorgeous too.

Love that game.

Play the adventures of captain spirit demo. It's free and kind of a lead up to the new Life is Strange.

Overcooked is fun with a group.

Agree on Life is Strange and Rocket League (the latter has gotten me hundreds of hours of gameplay for $20)

I've been playing Treasure Stack recently.

Keep these coming! I'd like to check out some more indie stuff. I just don't have a good source to figure out which games are worthwhile.
Dayman, Fighter of the Nightman.

Return of the Obra Dinn (Have not played this yet. The guy who made Papers, Please made it. Very highly regarded.)
FTL
Battle Chef Brigade
Yoku's Island Express

Some more good ones.

Dead Cells is one of my favorite games ever. 100% top 10 all-time fun list material. It was released last year. The first game from a French studio called Motion Twin. I think that game is just tremendous.
