Notre Dame coming to town this weekend!
Should be some great puck at the Mooch with the Fighting Irish in town. Will be watchin the progression of this VERY young Rodent squad and although there will be growing pains this group of youngsters has talent!

Did they ever end up replacing all the seats that had the Sioux logo? Scoreboard looks crazy nice!Jimtown guy wrote: ↑Wed Oct 30, 2019 6:14 pm Hall of Fame game Saturday against Michigan Tech at the Palace on the Prairie better know as The Ralph. The new scoreboard is absolutely unreal

Those were allowed to stay along with the Sioux heads that are in marble on the main entrance floor. You need to get to a game there Gus if you haven’t alreadyHornets wrote: ↑Wed Oct 30, 2019 6:59 pmDid they ever end up replacing all the seats that had the Sioux logo? They're allowed to keep all the heads, although if any wear out (such as in the seats, the floor should be good forever) they cannot be replaced.Jimtown guy wrote: ↑Wed Oct 30, 2019 7:02 pmThose were allowed to stay along with the Sioux heads that are in marble on the main entrance floor. Still a terrible decision by the NCAA. Obviously they're a rival but I favored them being left alone on this.

Re: Notre Dame coming to town this weekend!
Had the tribal council at Standing Rock Reservation let the people there vote whether to keep the name or not, UND would still be known as the Fighting Sioux. Spirit Lake did let their people vote and it was 3 to 1 in favor. All the Native Americans I’ve talked to over the years every one of them wanted to keep the name because they were proud of it and liked the recognition. The NCAA can stick it where the sun don’t shineSlap Shot wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2019 10:00 amThey're allowed to keep all the heads, although if any wear out (such as in the seats, the floor should be good forever) they cannot be replaced.Jimtown guy wrote: ↑Wed Oct 30, 2019 7:02 pmThose were allowed to stay along with the Sioux heads that are in marble on the main entrance floor. the easiest sign in the building was allowed to stay, at least as of a few years ago.
Just a banner that says welcome to sioux country.

Today’s game at the Mooch. Hate seeing all the empty seats. Never use to be that way. They getting priced out or the Big Ten conference just hasn’t caught on yet or both ?

Re: Notre Dame coming to town this weekend!
Rodents beaten 5-3 after getting a 2-0 lead. Attendance has been lousy evah since the move to the Big 10 and ticket price is a huge reason, fans missin the usual WCHA rivalries, Rodents not winnin as much, and finally it doesn't help havin game times like today's 4pm.Jimtown guy wrote: ↑Sat Nov 02, 2019 5:05 pm FB4CB9B2-34EA-46FD-B7BC-22585CC42750.jpeg

Young Gopher team played very well even in the loss. If they get some guys to stay for 3 years they will be back in National Championship contention.
