It'll be interesting to watch Johnson's development this year as coach. I think Thorson's presence will be huge for the program.

This season is going to flat out suck. They will be terrible. They will be unwatchable. They will get blown out, a lot. No judgements this year on Johnson though. Next year and beyond are the true evaluation periods for him, IMO.

Also Whalen might not be long for women’s job, really losing to Jacksonville in opener at home…they were 1-13 in ASUN last year and 4-17 overall

For the men, we all know it's going to be a win/loss disaster of a season, so instead I am going to concentrate on watching the freshmen on this squad and seeing if Ben can help them improve throughout the season. If I see just a glimmer of hope from a kid or two I'll count that as a bonus.

For the women, Lindsey certainly isn't on the hot seat but I think it's clear that being a competitive Big Ten head coach requires more than just a stellar playing resume. I also think (oh boy, this is going to make some mad here) that since she has turned into a fatty she just looks sloppy...would it kill her to show her team what discipline is all about and get herself in reasonable condition? I think she'll end up doing ok but let's be honest, she's no Brenda Freese.....

Yea mostly echoing everyone’s sentiments in here, it’s going to be a rough season. They’re going to be one of the worst programs in all of the major conferences. Kind of wish we can just hit fast forward on this year and arrive at next season overnight
