The barn better be rocking tonight. LFg!!!!!
Last year was severely lame without the crowds. Should be good.

Deciding if I get litty.

Ben Johnson has a serious opportunity to make a name for himself among the fan base and homegrown recruits tonight. Ranked opponent and is being welcomed to the big 10 by arguably the conference’s greatest coach in its history.

Looking forward to the game. ol Reusse has long said the best fan seasons are the unexpected success seasons. Here's to hoping we continue on what has definitely been u expected success so far.

Almost every good season this team has is unexpected. When ever we expect to be good it usually goes to shit.

No one thought we were going to be good in 14 and they surprised then when expectations rose, we crapped em in 15.

The 16-17 year we were a 5 seed in the tourney and with hype as big as it's been possibly since Clem, Lynch got all rapey, injuries etc and 17-18 sucked balls.

It's pretty clear, if they are hitting 3s, they can hang wirh most of the conference, at the very least looking respectable.
If the shots are clanking like they were tonight, nice start will be quickly forgotten.

Honestly, I'll take an 8 point loss to Michigan State from this team. If people want to jump on me for having a "moral victory" attitude, whatever. There's a difference between a coach being 3+ years in with established players and losing by 8 to one of the most recognizable teams in the country, vs a new coach with a bunch of nobodies losing by 8 to the same team.

This team with this roster is going to be lucky if they win 5 Big Ten games. Judging them on wins and losses won't be right for this season, judging them on how they compete will be.

A Pitino led team would have waved the white flag after being down by 19....

Clearly they needed to learn what facing a tough D looks like. I'm not a moral victory guy either but the positive could be they learned some things. They got back in it once they started getting to the rim.

Their offense in first half was ridiculous. I can live with missing shots, but these were forced, lazy shots and there was a reason they shot so poorly - they were lazy, didn't move the ball or attack the rim and the results were low pct shots.

Is Willis lazy? I haven't seen as much preseason. Holy fuck that missed front end one on one where all he has to do is stand in front of shooter and he allows a tie up, that was ridiculous.

I think it will be interesting to see how we adapt going forward.

They could have folded in the second half down 20, but they cut it to 7 by taking advantage of Sparty’s turnovers. They also only turned the ball over 3 times themselves. I appreciated the effort.

They also only turned the ball over 3 times.

I think TO and TO margin are the only stats in which they are anywhere near even the top 50 in the country. That they were 7-0 at all was a minor miracle.

Very good win.

Never easy to go in Michigan and win.

Offense actually runs some plays now with Richard gone.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a team, college or pro, win a game with only two assists.
