Gophers 2020-2021 Season
Anyone else excited to see some college hoops soon? Gophers squad (on paper) looks intriguing.
Robbins/Curry/Freeman/Mitchell
Johnson/Ihnen/Omersa
Gach/Tre Williams
Kalscheur/Mutaf
Carr/Mashburn JR
If Carr can improve on last year and then Robbins/Gach prove they are real difference makers, I like this squad. Of course the big ten is absolutely stacked but hopefully they can rattle off some wins. No idea what the actual season will look like, wish they could figure out a non conference bubble somehow and then do a couple conference bubbles as well before an NCAA tourney bubble.

Re: Gophers 2020-2021 Season
I keep seeing predictions where the Gophers are projected to finish near the bottom of the Big Ten, but I think they have a legit chance of being a top 7-8 team. I'd be disappointed if they didn't make the NCAA Tournament.

Big Ten is so stacked. 10 teams from the conference should make the tournament this year, not saying 10 will but you could make a case at least 10 are talented enough.Hoop Dreams wrote: ↑Thu Oct 15, 2020 11:53 am I keep seeing predictions where the Gophers are projected to finish near the bottom of the Big Ten, but I think they have a legit chance of being a top 7-8 team. Other than Northwestern and Nebraska, I could see every team in the BIG being in contention for a tourney bid although I think Purdue, Penn State, and Maryland will drop off quite a bit this year.HeHateMe wrote: ↑Thu Oct 15, 2020 11:59 amBig Ten is so stacked. Don't tell this to Thrill. He already has them penned in for a Final 4 appearance.Hoop Dreams wrote: ↑Thu Oct 15, 2020 11:53 am I keep seeing predictions where the Gophers are projected to finish near the bottom of the Big Ten, but I think they have a legit chance of being a top 7-8 team. I know literally nothing about the process for this stuff. Why did that take so long, and so close to the season, to file that waiver?

If they won't let fans into US Bank or TCF.. no chance on Williams Arena.

Both Gach is eligible (no brainer).

The Big Ten is absolutely stacked, but I still think the Gophers can be a top 7 - 8 team. My biggest concern is if their outside shooting will be consistent enough.

Re: Gophers 2020-2021 Season
Gabe has to be better than he was last year. His shot is too damn pure to be that bad again. Can any of the other newbs shoot worth a damn? I'm hopeful that Mashburn can at least.Hoop Dreams wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 12:38 pmThe Big Ten is absolutely stacked, but I still think the Gophers can be a top 7 - 8 team. Re: Gophers 2020-2021 Season
I got excited when there were rumors of non conference bubbles ... that scenario would have put teams in the region in different conferences in a bubble of sorts for x amount of games... Iowa St, UNI, a dakota team, Marquette or something etc either way, having those non conference games could have been a good boost before getting into big ten play which is going to be a brutal schedule.

He’s our version of Robbie Hummel from Purdue. That bastard qualified for AARP when he finally left.
