Good win. Have to win the home games this year the way the B10 is looking. On the road to the RAC on Sunday. Rutgers 12-0 at home, a very deep team that is one of the best defensive teams in the country. Going to be tough to steal one there.

I like the fight. Stevens and Watkins aka farnsworth bentley were agitators constantly. Penn St looked like a team that was beside itself because they were losing on the road.... HOW COULD THIS BE!?

I do as well, he just has to know the line. Getting a T didn't hurt them this game, but it could at some point.

Sure but they got a T too. If he's instigating and the only one getting a T, sure. I would never tell a kid to back down if someone gets in their face... I would tell the other teammates to jump in as quick as possible though and pull 'em away.

Just not the ones from the bench. We don't need a repeat of the Alabama game.

McBrayer getting ready to throw down was not a good look. Mason was getting taunted on the court by a group of Bama fans in addition to Sexton getting in his face. Refs lost control of that game early.

That they did, and that just fed the obnoxious crowd making everything worse. It was also Pitino's worst coaching job ever. Seriously, how do you get your ass whooped 5-3?

Sexton was unbelievable and MN felt bad so they were just launching long jumpers and missing.....

Tough loss today...I get the feeling we're going to need to win a couple games in the Big 10 tourney to have a chance at the big tournament.

Playing a 63% FT shooting team and Pitino not challenging that late? Really poor for Pitinos sake!

Seemed like jacking up 3's was the priority today and not running the offense through Oturu. Tough to watch.

Gophers are sitting that 36 right now in Ken Pom. Usually when you hit the 50's in his rankings that's the bubble for making the NCAA tournament. I think 65 is the lowest team to make it as an at large. They didn't have a bad loss in the non conference but beating Oklahoma or Utah would have been a nice win. DePaul is pretty good this year too and that was close.

The Big Ten is tough as nails. No road game is a certain win. Schedule looks tough from here on out however. They are going to have to win most of the remaining home games and a road game or two and then one in the BTT to get in I think.

That road loss to Purdue really hurts. Would have been a nice one to get especially with the Rutgers loss.

I expected a non tourney team after Coffey went pro so even with a tough start to a tough schedule, they've maintained some good interest going forward. They can beat anyone at home because of Carr and Oturu, both are capable of dropping 30 in a game which is something they've lacked for awhile. Coffey and Murphy were really good scorers, Murphy especially fairly consistent but doesn't seem like they have the offensive output Carr and Oturu are capable of.

If Daniel comes back next year and they land Kerwin Walton, this is a top 3-4 big ten team.

Huge win, but holy shit make some free throws. Why do Pitino teams always suck so bad at that?

Didn't watch one second of this game and assumed the Rodents would lose....why wouldn't they? Well, my stinky attitude was wrong and this was a nice win for Mr. Pitino....a REALLY nice win!

Tubby and Monson had bad free throw shooting teams as well. Something in the water? Time to hire Rick Berry.

Yes this. It's been a weirdly ongoing problem for years. You'd think one coach the past 15 years or so could consistently coach this skill up.

What's the reason Theo John and McKinley Wright didn't end up here? Were they not recruited, or was it their choice? They'd both look pretty good in maroon and gold right now.

Gophers slight underdogs at home against Sparty +3.

I like that the line is close, snagging this one would be nice before heading to Illinois this week.

For Wright, I believe it's because Isaiah Washington signed here first. That didn't turn out real well.
