Good spot for him, IMO. Hopefully he develops into a big time player up there... Obviously he had the Iowa offer but I'm not entirely sure if that was committable all the way through (Haven't looked too hard at this point).
In all honesty, NDSU seems like a better fit, in terms of his ability to play. I'm just not sure how well he'd do in the Big10. In the bigger games I watched from last year, I was underwhelmed at his play against Caledonia, who didn't really have anyone to match up against him. I thought he looked much better against Chet Holmgren, but that game turned ugly so quickly, that most of Waseca's guys were kind of negated.

Is it true, his friends refer to him as Andy?

I'm not sure about his friends, but I do know his uncle very well, and he calls him Andrew.

Frankly, I prefer my Andrews to be called Andys. Makes them seem more grounded.

The world needs more Hanks, too. Enough with the formal Henry trend.

Wasn't a take for Minnesota at this point since they're already +1 in the scholarship count.

Treyton Thompson and Kenny Pohto signed yesterday. Two bigs coming in next year..... they need a guard or two though...
I still see Gach and Carr probably leaving... Curry retiring if he can't get through this season.

Not that the Gophers will get him, but Chet Holmgren is playing with Team Sizzle, on ESPN2 right now. My god is he a man among boys. So very smooth.

Keep reading G-League or Gonzaga... I wonder if Suggs will stick around for longer than a year.... doubt it.

I'd be surprised if Suggs stays more than one.

During the game last night, the announcers were talking G-League, but they said that Holmgren claims to want to try college.

If there aren't going to be fans anyway, may as well head to the G League.

I think there will be fans in arenas a year from now.

How many guys from the senior class would you take at the U next year? I'd say 2 for damn sure, and maybe even 3. Holmgren will obviously be a one and done. That dude is going to be ridiculous as he continues to catch up to his insanely rapid growth he went through. Aligbe is a stud too. Master P's kids are pretty damn solid as well.

Tschetter and Holmgren for sure. They're obviously going other places... Chet will pick Gonzaga.

Aligbe is a 2022 kid. Hercy Miller is a 2021 kid but I haven't seen interest in him yet...

Andrew Morgan picked NDSU, think he had an Iowa offer at one point.

This is all off the top of my head, I'd need a list for other names.

I was thinking Aligbe was a senior. Seems like that kid has been there forever. Granted, so did Suggs and Holmgren, because they have been.

I meant from the Minnehaha senior class, I missed adding that. My bad.

Jamison Battle is in the transfer portal. Gophers need to figure out who their next coach is and get after this guy (among others). Need to add shooting.

Mason Madsen and Gabe Madsen (twin brothers from Rochester) are both in the transfer portal. Pitino had offered Gabe who actually opted out of Cincy after a game or two. Mason is a combo guard I think and got some playing time. Both might have interest in coming here?

Still watching the Jamison Battle front and former Prior Lake center Robert Jones is also in the transfer portal after two seasons at Denver.

I would guess Treyton Thompson sticks with the new coach but Kenny Pohto moves on. With Mashburn and Omersa out, Carr going pro and Curry done, still looking at plenty of scholarships available for the next coach.

Robbins, Kalscheur, Tre, Ihnen, Mitchell, Freeman, Gach currently occupy 7. Thompson would be 8.

Brandon Johnson would not count under the 13 with the new rules.

I bet Robert Jones would come here is a second, averaged 9 points and 5 boards at a hideous Denver team. The Mason boys, Battle all would like come here. Coyle needs to move fast in hiring a coach, needs to be by this Sunday I think. The roster needs to be filled out, plus the state 2022 class is loaded with talent.

I agree Pohto is probably gone, Thompson will stick it out.

Doogie said on SKOR North today that there's a good player in the portal from Minnesota that the Gophers would have a good chance at getting depending on who the coach is. I'm pretty sure he was referring to Battle.

He just interviewed Battle on his podcast... and Battle supposedly has told people he will not make a choice until he knows who the Gophers coach is.

Ish El-Amin would be a good replacement for Marshburn. Jamison Battle would be a great get as well. There are a ton of options out there.

UND has been rubbing people the wrong way lately... I was a fan of Sather, he's been good to me, but a few recruits lately have been promised much then pushed out.

Gophers need at least two point guards.... we'll see what happens.

Hopefully Ben can hit the transfer portal hard. The roster as it stands right now is very thin, and really bad.
