IMO they should oversign and grab Kerwin Walton too -- IF Garcia ends up committing here, he needs to go full recruitment on Walton.

Mashburn Jr sounds like he's ready to step in day one as a leader. The three point shooting percentage intrigues me a ton. Garcia would be an incredible add at this point given his talent, size, etc. I think Mitchell will be decent but he's more of a prospect I don't think they can quite count on for significant contribution next year.

Garcia is down to MN, Indiana, Marquette and Memphis. If I had to put money down on one right now I think I lean Marquette but I do think Minnesota is right there. It's been mentioned on other forums that he might end up coming to a game or two at the barn before deciding. That would be huge given he's going to Indiana and Marquette still, no football games to see that campus atmosphere for a game.

All signs point to Garcia not coming to Minnesota now. He's not coming to a b-ball game apparently? Indiana or Marquette, I still think Marquette but Indiana has clearly put a big time full court press on him. I think they have a teammate of his from USA basketball going there too?

I wanted Garcia badly because I figured that would lock Pitino into another year. Not that I'm sold on Pitino as the coach going forward but I thought if they locked in Garcia, they could have somewhat of a down year and still look at next year with a ton of excitement. Now if you make a coaching change, I doubt either commit would stay here and god knows what happens after that.

Two good commits so the sky isn't falling but missing on all the local kids looks really, really bad. Kerwin Walton still out there but I'd be shocked at this point if he stays home.
