Has there been any word on what's going on with him lately? It seemed like there was a bunch of steam about him transferring to Minnesota, but it's been really quiet lately.

Nothing. Last I heard, he had three options. Go back to Nebraska, bust his ass to graduate so he could be a grad transfer or hope that either the NCAA approves transfers for immediate eligibility (he could also apply for some sort of medical waiver to play close to home. I think it all hinges on if and when the NCAA votes on the transfer rule.

Spielman probably ends up at NDSU.
There was already bad blood between Fleck and Frost. It just got a lot worse.

How did their bad blood get worse?

And why NDSU?

He has some friends up there, gets to play with a great QB, won't have to sit a year or dick around with trying to get a waiver from the NCAA.

If he ends up here, Frost is threatening going to the NCAA with tampering allegations.

Do you think Frost actually has legitimate evidence to prove his tampering claims?

Probably not, but that's never stopped the NCAA before. They make up the rules as they go along. Doesn't help that these rumors started when last season was still going on.

Whats the bad blood between PJ and Frost and where did it stem from?

I recall some awkward handshake maybe a year or two ago, and I also remember Frost saying he wishes his players were more like the Gophers, but I don't really recall anything too negative between the two.

If JD did end up in Minnesota, I could see a lot of bad blood though.

Fleck hates Frost. Probably more than he hates Brohm. And he really hates Brohm. At Big Ten media days in Chicago, Frost was bitching about having to play Minnesota every year instead of Michigan, saying Nebraska deserved more marquee opponents based on their history. Fleck heard about it and he's been out flor blood ever since.

 That explains a lot of the 7-34 shellacking last year.

Do I recall right that the Gophers had a shutout on the line late in the 4th and PJ was as fiery as he ever is, even in the blowout, hoping for the shutout...which they unfortunately didn't get in big part because they were playing 2nd and 3rd string guys at the time? Or was that a different game?

Now if we could just get Chryst to say something disrespectful.

Most of these are repeats, but I haven't watched the Bama game in years, and I can't believe they're replaying a BB game from the vacated era.

I watched the Indiana BB game. Hard to believe we're pushing a quarter century on that already. Damn, that was a great team.

Nothing, but I would think the longer this drags out, the better that is for the Gophers.

There was some talk of going with a spring schedule instead. Have to wonder how that might impact post-season if other conferences don't follow suit. Will have an intriguing impact on SOS.

This is going to crush the budget of the directional schools who come to get their asses handed to them.

Depends. If this happens they are going to fill in some/all of the NC games with conference games (possibly all divisional) so it remains to be seen.
