I just don't see that working out. College seems to be his niche.

For sure. His style is obviously better suited for college. I just don't see millionaires with massive egos buying into the row the boat culture.jffl_commish wrote: ↑Wed Dec 30, 2020 10:04 am I just don't see that working out. College seems to be his niche.

I have zero doubt he could tone it down for he NFL given the guy is obviously astute, bright and despite the 'rah rah' self-aware,. and has already coached in he NFL before. That said I can't seem him being eager to leave his current gig for the NFL.

I think PJ really does like it here and I'm guessing he will be coaching our Rodents for at least a few more years!

Reminder that he paid his dues in college and worked his way up to be hired as the OC at NIU...and left the following day to coach Bucs WRs the next day.
He doesn't give a shit about Minnesota. And Heather would love to be royalty in Houston or NYC or even Jacksonville.

In that sense most coaches "don't give a shit about 'insert place here'" but that doesn't mean he doesn't enjoy his current gig and what really is there not to aside from occasional bad weather? The U is finally behind the program the way a BT school should be, the stadium is fantastic, there's plenty of local talent to recruit, he's proven he can bring in kids from anywhere in the country, the local community is finally catching on and it's not just alumni in their 80's going to games anymore, he's financially set and aside from Pat Reusse the local press on the whole treats him with respect. 1986 was a long time ago and BT football coaches don't regularly leave good gigs voluntarily.feekdogg wrote: ↑Wed Dec 30, 2020 10:58 pmReminder that he paid his dues in college and worked his way up to be hired as the OC at NIU...and left the following day to coach Bucs WRs the next day.
