Thoughts on the new offensive coordinator tonight? I haven't been too impressed.

I'm not going to be too critical with 2 starting OLers out and other important pieces. They don't have the depth to handle Covid.

I agree not to overreact, but there can certainly be some criticism. We should not be getting penalized for illegal formations 1st and goal from the two yard line. We shouldn't be running slow developing jet sweeps 1st and goal from the 7 yard line with limited space. No deep shots to Bateman?

Defense can't stop a damn thing.

Other than that 70 yard mistake, the defense has been decent. Our offense has just given them shitty field position to defend.

Ughh. There is some truth to this but they also haven't stopped anyone when they didn't give them good field position but I see your point.

I know it wouldn’t have been that big of an upset in terms of both teams ranked closely and the line being within 3.
But after watching that first half, Michigan clearly is a more talented team which sucks because I hate them almost as much as the Badgers.
Really wish our O line was healthy for this one.

Even though they have a 5 star DB covering him, I think they need to start throwing it up to him. What do they have to lose at this point?

From my observation I agree with this.

I don't know that it matters much. Having a punter who could actually kick would help though.

I didn't expect the Gophers to win this but I did expect a very close game.

Still a half to play though.
