I'm not going to be too critical with 2 starting OLers out and other important pieces. They don't have the depth to handle Covid.
I agree not to overreact, but there can certainly be some criticism. We should not be getting penalized for illegal formations 1st and goal from the two yard line. We shouldn't be running slow developing jet sweeps 1st and goal from the 7 yard line with limited space. No deep shots to Bateman?

Other than that 70 yard mistake, the defense has been decent. Our offense has just given them shitty field position to defend.
Ughh. There is some truth to this but they also haven't stopped anyone when they didn't give them good field position but I see your point.

We were favored...
no, +3
Ohh...could have sworn I saw -3 yesterday
I know it wouldn’t have been that big of an upset in terms of both teams ranked closely and the line being within 3.
But after watching that first half, Michigan clearly is a more talented team which sucks because I hate them almost as much as the Badgers.
Really wish our O line was healthy for this one.

That's all fair. Not sure they have the time for deep shots, though.

Fair point although the one to Chris Autman-Bell worked out.

Even though they have a 5 star DB covering him, I think they need to start throwing it up to him. What do they have to lose at this point?

From my observation I agree with this.

I don't know that it matters much. Having a punter who could actually kick would help though.

I didn't expect the Gophers to win this but I did expect a very close game.

Still a half to play though.

At least we get Maryland next week. They are down 30-3 to Northwestern at the start of the 3rd quarter.

Time for a "Bateman ratio" let the kid take over.

I never said I wouldn't watch a few minutes...since it's Saturday there's no 'Tucker Carlson' on FOX so I was able to tune in a bit!

Wasn't there a site that said Tanner Morgan might be a 1st round pick?

That site should never be allowed to "Evaluate" if they said that.

Ok, the offense has actually done their job and are the ones missing the Oline.

No excuse for the defense here. Shut them down and make it a game.

No, he's a mid to late round pick. He was in the conversation as a sleeper pick for top college QB and even Heisman prior to this game.

Absolutely. He was one of the best QBs in college football last year. Coming back this year, to have him as a sleeper pick for those awards prior to the season started is 100% fair.
