Remember when Kill wouldn't let Streveler throw a pass?

Post by Ask Not »

Am I remembering this right? Kill didn't let Streveler throw a single pass for an entire game?
Now he's the back up for the Arizona Cardinals.

Kill always coached like his team didn't measure up to the opponent.

You're a little bit off (what else is new?). Streveler started and went 1-7 throwing the ball, for a whopping total of 7 yards. He didn't complete a pass until his last attempt in the 4th quarter. Kill didn't call very many pass plays because he was off on every throw he made. That said, Kill and company were absolutely garbage at evaluating QB talent, and even worse at player development. Good for Streveler for realizing that he'd be wasting his talent sitting at WR here for his final two years and transferring to South Dakota.

Agreed that Kill was brutal with QB's. He started a FB for four years after all.

Remember the game Kill punted on first down ever drive because he figured their punting unit was their best offense?

I liked Jerry and his cronies when they first arrived...then they started getting too big for their britches and I stopped liking them.
