Class ranking doesn't mean a lot this early, but it's not unrealistic to think that at the very least, this will be a top 15 class at signing day.
Most that read this board know I'm pretty plugged in with a couple of sources that are rarely wrong. I've been told all along that the problems Fleck has getting the really, really highly-rated guys (legit program elevators) had wasn't with closing. It has been getting in the door. His philosophy has always been if he can just get recruits to listen, he can close. Last year opened a lot of eyes. A lot. They're at the point now where they don't have issues getting highly-rated kids to listen. Before the Gophers even offer, some of these guys initiate contact to see if the Gophers are interested in them.
Strange days, indeed.

They need to do whatever it takes to keep Mr Fleck here for the long-term. Seems like a good dude, runs a clean program, his players love him, and the results are there too with this past season being the best we've ever seen in our lifetimes.

Prospects are like stocks that pay dividends. The dividends they can produce are the buddies they have that also are D1 recruits. Theres already rumors of Steven Ortiz (one of the 4 star guys), is bringing some of his 7v7 buddies here some of which are also 4 star guys.

I've also been talking to Philip Riley (4 star CB) about Minnesota. We have had some good conversations, but I don't want to say too much because I can't really speak for him. But we play on the same 7-on-7 club team and we always talk about how cool it would be to be able to play together at the next level.

It sounds like Sam Jackson might have been on that 7v7 team too, but I can't find a link to confirm it.
