The tire of the future

Post by Straight Edge Raven »

Goodyear reCharge.....no more rotations, flat tires. Liquid fixes any impurities. Cool concept if it works.

That's what I was thinking too. Sounds great, until you pay $5K a tire.

My theory is that back in the day they'd make things that last, but corporations found out if you do that people only buy one refrigerator in their lifetime, or one washer, one dryer, one whatever... So it's in their best interest to make things that don't last so people have to keep coming back to buy more. Imagine buying only one more set of tires in your lifetime, tire businesses would be SOL. If anything, hopefully this would lower the price of regular tires.
I apologize in advance if what I just said offended or upset you.

The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.

They'll still make money selling me blinker fluid and charging me 25 dollars to change the wiper blades.

They are already doing seven- and eight-year auto loans. Might as well make it a nice round ten years.

If people start getting on the save the planet bandwagon it might take off. But if its like 5k a tire yeah that's gonna be a hard sell until prices come down.

I doubt you'll see a lot of retrofitting on old cars.

But Goodyear will likely be putting these on new cars with manufacturers that they have contracts with.
