According the the cardigan wearing auto enthusiast this means you don't know shit about cars. The mental gymnastics that guy goes through to justify driving a shit box is amazing.
Imagine thinking a car you can stick in the bed of a pickup is a cool car  I bet it's a orange one too
I would like you to give me one good reason to purchase a heavier car with a higher ride height and longer wheel base for someone who is using the car for driving on public roads. I'll wait.

He shoulda just spent the dough on a perfectly restored classic car instead.
Yeah, I've never understood the dudes who buy cars and look at it like an investment. Unless you're getting something incredibly exotic like a Koenigsegg, it makes no sense to me. Especially with something as (relatively) common as a z51 vette.
Agree to a point. On the Mecum auctions they have sold Mustangs for a shyteload of money. Our 1973 Mustang Mach 1 cost $3800. and I have seen similar Mustangs sold for six figures. An outlier for sure I understand. An old fart told me the reason some of those older muscle cars appreciate is because people who could not afford them when they are young are buying them now that they have the money.
GTO, Chevelle SS, Camaro SS, Super Bee, Olds 442, Road Runner, Charger, Barracuda probably fall into that category but I seldom see those selling for the high high prices of other "muscle" cars of the 60's/70's.
My boner car still remains a red '68 Camaro Z28.

Yeah, classics are another animal entirely. I was referring more to a new car.

Enjoy your practical throwaway car. If you're not embarrassed to be driving in that gocart, that's all that matters.

Pot holes: I have a steering wheel that works properly, due to the maneuverability of the short wheel base, low ride height and light curb weight
Deep snow: A good driver with proper tires makes this a nonfactor
Racoons: I still have a steering wheel

I saw it at the car show. I was skeptical before but was impressed in person. It does look real nice. Guy claimed you could fit 3 sets of golfclub in the trunk.

If you don't throw at least 1 set in the lake before the turn, are you even really golfing?
