i heard portions of this song saturday night in the first episode of season two of "fargo". i had forgot about it-but it was a staple of late 70's AOR stations like KQ.

Now this is trippy- First "Fargo"episode of the year and the music they're featuring is "Children of the Sun" by Billy Thorpe? Thorpie was a very close friend, I went on a 2 week road trip while at Capricorn Records to promote his incredible new space odessy concept album. Billy was and still is one of Australia's greatest rockers. We lost him way too early in 2007, due to a heart attack. He was posthumously appointed a Member of the Order of Australia on 11 June 2007, with the citation, "For service to the entertainment industry as a musician, songwriter, producer, and as a contributor to the preservation and collection of contemporary Australian music". Miss you Billy Thorpe!!!

Not sure if this has been mentioned here but does anyone remember Beaker Street radio out of Little Rock,Ak? Use to stay up late as a kid in the 70’s and listen. One night I called in a request for Snakeskin Cowboy by Ted Nugent. Believe it or not it was on the air at 3:15 in the morning and it was said it came from up north in Jamestown ND. I was in 7th heaven and never did go to sleep

KAAY 1090. Cruising our three block main street or country roads with some Schmidt or Hamms or those little cans of malt liquor and hoping to get to second base. '55 Chevy two-door post with three on the tree relocated to the hump. Told everyone it was a Hurst conversion. Had to make sure the radio/fan/everything electrical was turned off when parked otherwise it ran the battery down. Never did find out why. :|

Forgot: Mama Cass Elliot.
Have to go with OK on this. Of those I’d put Ronstadt at the top. Love her voice.
