First heard Mr. Scruff drop this in a mix like 17 years ago. I was entranced.

It's a live recording in a small Belgium club called Jazzland in Liege in 1974. This was Belgian alto sax legend Jacques Pelzer's group.

Since music is subjective to the listener wouldn't you leave it up the people to decide what they like? I do. if I don't like it, so what? We like what we like. So I'm 53 what music do I like? I listen to anything that makes my heart and brain skip a beat. You would be surprised at what keeps my motor running. Music is my religion.

A nice bounce back album for Jose James who gets to show off his smooth pipes over great material. He released a tribute record to Bill Withers covering 12 of his songs a few weeks back. It's very solid and a nice tribute to a wonderful soul artist.
