i listen to the top forty countdown on the 80's on 8 channel on siriusxm. i especially like the 80-86 years. 89 is my least favorite year. it's great to go back and you remember what you were doing when these songs were playing on the radio and mtv.

weirdest decade out of the main 5 (50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's). Best thing I can say about it is how unique it was.

That Toto Africa song is great though (its about banging a black girl, right?)...and Twisted Sister had some bangers.

the show this week from 1980. as alan hunter always says when they do this year-"it's an eclectic collection of songs." he's right-of course. highlights from the show for me were "refugee" at 26 and "another brick in the wall" at 18. took me right back to that time in my life with those songs for sure. in fact i can remember an exact moment of listening to petty driving around with my friend taking an unauthorized break from school-"teachers leave those kids alone!" everybody who was in their teenaged years remembers that rebel yell from pink floyd on the airwaves that year as well. lots of good stuff from the countdown though. take a look.

not sure about the history of this Bob Dylan song but I love it. I bought the CD when it first came out. I am not a Dylan fanatic but still dig him. Fall of 2007 (?)

Working Man Blue's. (listen to a little anyway....it's a long one) =
