That's a good one too but I think just a bit behind the other Floyd or Floyd member nominations.Qman65 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 16, 2019 10:42 pmHow about Delicate Sound Of Thunder?Slap Shot wrote: ↑Sun Jun 16, 2019 10:17 pm Grateful Dead - Europe '72 and One from the Vault

Pink Floyd - Pulse
AC\DC - Live (my first actual journey in to the them)
Metallica - S&M (it's different, and I can appreciate that)
Nirvana - Unplugged (and I'm not a Nirvana fan, but this album is great)
Alice In Chains - Unplugged
My off the wall choice...
Dave Matthews Band - Live at Red Rocks.

Mine too.
I knew of songs like Back in Black, Thunderstruck, Money Talks, etc..., but that record introduced me to songs from the Bon era like Whole Lotta Rosie, Dirty Deeds and TNT which in turn introduced me to their earlier albums. I'm a big AC/DC fan and it's because of AC/DC Live. That will probably always go down as my favorite live album even though there are probably better ones out there.

Re: Best Live albums ever?
I'd have to agree, in that it opened me up to their other stuff. Though, I'll admit, I was in either 9th or 10th grade at the time, and I had no clue about Bonn Scott, until a few years after that. I just thought they were all Brian Johnson (or, what I knew at the time, the lead singer). I wasn't a big rock guy at the time, except for when guys would put it on the CD player in the weight room, during football.Dude wrote: ↑Mon Jun 17, 2019 12:58 pmMine too.

I hate live albums. Concerts, yes. Live albums, no. Never really got the allure.

Alice in Chains - Unplugged and Lou Reed - Live and Rock & Roll Animal are the albums that first came to mind.

Re: Best Live albums ever?
Live at The Old Quarter is amazing. In my top 3 for certain.
Curtis/Live! recorded in December 1970 at The End in New York. One of the best songwriters in popular music history at his zenith. Recorded the same year his solo debut came out. Released in 1971. It also has my favorite version of "People Get Ready." Which is a masterpiece.
Muddy Waters Live at the Newport Jazz Festival 1960. Another classic,
Those are live albums I come back to time and time again.

I loved the Kiss Alive II album as a kid....Wore out the vinyl over "Shock Me" on side two and the whole side 3 was fantasitc. My taste has changed, but for that time in my life, it was the bomb.
Live Rust is fantastic.

Kiss- Unplugged. Loved seeing them get back together and remember watching it on MTV. Beth is WAY better on this album than any other version.
