Currently on the docket for the rest of the year:
Robert Plant
Violent Femmes
Ghost
Tom Kiefer
LA Guns
Joan Jett
Heart
Pop Rocks
Lenny Kravitz
Probably the most concerts I will have seen in a year.

Whom are you most excited for? Anyone else you've already seen in '19?

I’ve been to quite a few shows already this year. It’s my guilty pleasure.
Vince Neil - mainly to see Zoltan
Eve6 and SmashMouth - surprisingly good, on the beach
John Fogerty at Red Rocks
Paul McCartney at Dodger’s Stadium w/ Ringo & Joe Walsh
Randy Bachman from BTO - storyteller kind of deal
A few tribute shows.

I saw ghost open for maiden in ‘17. I don’t love them, but it was a good performance. Very well crafted act and professional quality. Sounded good. You’ll enjoy it.-Jaymo- wrote: ↑Thu Jul 25, 2019 9:40 pmProbably Ghost right now. I haven’t seen them before.Tommy_Hawk wrote: ↑Thu Jul 25, 2019 9:21 pmWhom are you most excited for? OAR and American Authors tonight. OAR was phenomenal, AA was ok. Couple unknown hotties opened were very nice to look at, Rozzi.

I haven't been to a concert in way too long. The last one was either Metallica at the USBank with Avenged Sevenfold, who was awesome live or Killswitch Engage at the Skyway theater.

I saw OAR twice over a decade ago. This was before they sold out, or just started to, as Heard the World was their newest single.
Good shit Jon

Last time I saw them was summer of 08. The audience participation is a good time. Cards flying all over the place during Crazy Game of Poker is fun.Tommy_Hawk wrote: ↑Sun Aug 04, 2019 12:32 amI saw OAR twice over a decade ago. Such a weird band trajectory, as they had so many hits before they had so many commercial hits. I may have to check them out if for a third time if they are around again based on your recommendation.

Going to see Blackberry Smoke at the Palace Theater in St Paul, in September. The Record Company is opening for them. Blackberry Smoke puts on a great show, and I'm excited to see TRC, as they've got some pretty good songs, too.

I ended up going to a show as a part of a free summer concert series that the city of Elk River puts on last night.
It was a band called Arch Allies, who plays covers of bands like Boston, REO, Styx, Def Leppard and Journey. For the price, it was actually kind of fun. I wouldn't pay to see it, nor would I travel much further than I did. But I've seen worse cover bands.

They've been around for quite a while I believe. I think they started out doing REO and Styx, and then morphed in to more. I've meant to catch them if/when they've been around down here, but can never make the schedule jive.Cobey wrote: ↑Fri Aug 16, 2019 7:51 am I ended up going to a show as a part of a free summer concert series that the city of Elk River puts on last night.

Kick ass show. Those Brits take their job seriously. Biggest crowd of their whole tour they said. I broke the tie.

Show was good. My date took awhile to get ready so we missed a couple songs by the opening band, Lord Huron. Mumford and Sons played great. They played all good songs. Little Lion Man was the second song played, which got everyone wound up. Great venue to see music. Would recommend.Tommy_Hawk wrote: ↑Thu Aug 15, 2019 7:20 pm Just got into Denver about an hour ago. We left and walked a few blocks away from the venue area and got a quick Lyft. Got back to the hotel just after the restaurant place inside closed so we walked a few blocks to an Irish Pub. They had their apps still, and they saved our lives. Fun trip, better concert.

Taking a different date to go see Bon Iver at Xcel on Oct 3rd. The lady lives in my old college town about halfway there, so it's quite a bit farther for me than Denver. However, I've always been a big TC fan, and would say it has the slight edge over the two if Minnesota had recreational marijuana.
Anyways, looking forward to the trip. I'm sure no other Froobs are going, but I will update.

Heading to Lil Wayne/Blink 182 on Thursday.
Also bought tickets for Angels and Airwaves in December -- needed my Tom Delonge fix.
Hoping for Pearl Jam and Bruce and E Street Band tours in 2020.

Little cmd and I are going to see Dylan in Mankato, in a couple weeks.
Sounds like a buddy of mine is picking up a couple tickets for us to go see 311 at the Armory, in December.

There are currently about 100 people sitting in the skyway for the 21 Pilots concert tonight. It's 7am. They have blankets and pillows, and it's roped off. Wonder what time they get there.

The skyway is jam packed with kids waiting to get into the 21 pilots concert. Many have been there since I got here at 7am. I've never seen anything like it.
