Traveling Wilburys reboot...who you got?

Post by Jimi_Thing »

Sitting on the couch the other night listening to their great debut album. Got me thinking of what artists around today could form a cool version of Traveling Wilburys.

Original lineup:
Roy Orbison
Tom Petty
Bob Dylan
George Harrison
Jeff Lynne

My reboot:
Robert Plant
Paul McCartney
Rod Stewart
Dwight Yoakam
Jack White

** I'm not completely sold on that lineup. Other names that came to mind are Springsteen, Eddie Vedder, Neil Young.

Anyone else want to give it a shot?

Billy Corgan
Billie Joe Armstrong
Michael Stipe
Ozzy Osbourne
I don't give a fig for the simplicity on this side of complexity, but I would die for the simplicity on the other side of complexity.

I like the inclusion of McCartney and White. Both give you that guitar playing ability, and White has proven he can play with pretty much anyone. I guess I'd go with the following:

McCartney
White
Charlie Starr
Sammy Hagar
Warren Haynes
