the magazine could be right. what do you do if you feel you're on the road to hell? push down on the accelerator and go for broke. demons drove the killer-but he's still with us and i''m going to listen to that piano player this morning. "crazy arms".realjazzguy wrote: ↑Tue Apr 09, 2019 11:39 am An English music magazine once did a brackets breakdown of this question and the final winner was JERRY LEE LEWIS. nobody has gotten away with bizarre, violent, hair-raising living for longer than the Killer. it's not just an image.

i'm with qman. if you're talking "rock and roll", it's gotta be him. outrageous, flamboyant, talented, sexual, out of control, dangerous, fucking weird energy.
There is little difference between the memory of a real event and the memory of a dream.

When you put it that way, Freddy Mercury seems interchangeable.somuchyummy wrote: ↑Tue Apr 30, 2019 9:27 pmi'm with qman. if you're talking "rock and roll", it's gotta be him. outrageous, flamboyant, talented, sexual, out of control, dangerous, fucking weird energy.

Jim Morrison, but he didn't play an instrument. Best frontman and coolest rocker in history. Guy got arrested right one stage. Took off his pants at a concert and asked women to come on stage and love him.
Jack White is the best one not from that era. Can play the guitar and has made a revitalization of rock and roll.
I met Little Richard and he is amazing.
Jimi Hendrix was the total package.
