I just watched a movie from the 80's about Buddy Holly, starring Gary Busey of all people. It was GREAT!

Did Elvis write his own music? Or just sing?

Maybe a combo, at best? I know he had a bunch of writers, but I don't know how much of his own he did, if any.Douglas Bubbletrousers wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 2:18 pm

I thought you were going to say John Denver!Hornets wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 2:22 pm You know who else was brilliant and died in a plane crash at a young age Douglas? Keith Green...

Was Keith Green purely Christian music or did he do the Collective Soul type thing where they actually had quality music but with a sort of spiritual or religious undertone?

Ah ok, I had something like that in mind. I always saw him as a performer more than a musician.cmd24 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 2:21 pmMaybe a combo, at best? I know he had a bunch of writers, but I don't know how much of his own he did, if any.Douglas Bubbletrousers wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 2:18 pm

Pretty much contemporary Christian music. Guy lived an incredible albeit short life. A friend of mine gave me a book about him almost 30 years ago...one of my best reads!Douglas Bubbletrousers wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 2:42 pmI thought you were going to say John Denver!Hornets wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 2:22 pm You know who else was brilliant and died in a plane crash at a young age Douglas?
