is a great station. we're lucky to have it; there's very little $$$ in jazz and blues, so only a few community stations (nationwide) play it.
The Soul Village show on Wednesday nights is amazing. I've been listening soul/R&B since the '60s. But the guy (who is at the UMD station) might play 20 songs and 16-17 of them will be ones I've never heard before.

One of the pop stations here does a show called The Jazz Patio on Sunday 6pm-9pm nights. The sales director for the station hosts it because he loves jazz music. It's pretty good stuff.
96.1 is the station here in the Quad Cities.
